He turns slowly to look at his boyfriend, one of Buck’s protein cookies mid way to his mouth.

“What did I do?” He asks, because clearly he’s done something if Buck’s giving him that look.

“Why on earth does your son think we’re fuck buddies?!” Buck demands.

Eddie chokes on his spit as his eyes go wide.

“He what?!”

“He just came up to me and said, ‘Dad told me about you two, and I just want to let you know he’s an idiot and I know he loves you so this isn’t casual. Don’t worry Buck, he’ll figure it out soon. So you should keep kissing him till he does.’” Buck’s got an eyebrow arched in the air.

Eddie’s cheeks burn as he tilts his head to the sky.

“Ay Dios Mio, this is why I don’t talk about things like this. I suck at it! Especially with him!”

“I told you to let me do it! Last time you tried to give him the sex talk he came to me and told me he had no idea what you were trying to explain. I had to reexplain it!”

“I just thought he should hear it from me!”

“Clearly that worked out well.”

“I’m sorry!” He groans. “Did you tell him we’re not just kissing buddies and that I actually love you?”

Buck chuckles.

“Yeah, babe, I did.”

“And?”

“His exact words were, ‘thank god, because that would’ve been awkward for everyone.’”
