I will never stop loving this quote for the following reasons: 1) It's hilarious that anyone could ever think that they could warn or explain anything to Elizabeth Warren and that she'd back down on that alone. She knows what she's talking about and doesn't have to back down because someone "warned" or "explained" to her. 2) I think every woman has had this type of comment made about her at some point. Lord knows I have. 3) This quote is just so laughably man-splainey and patriarchal. THIS is what we're talking about when we talk about the patriarchy. There is this idea that women are "supposed to" fit into a narrow category of high morals and achievement but also of complete compliance in order to be "good". If you're pushing back on anything, you're "persisting" or "abrasive". Imagine a world where Elizabeth Warren was meek and accommodating all the time. That's a much less rich and vibrant world. Unfortunately, there are millions of would-be Elizabeth Warrens out there who are "warned" and "given an explanation" but never "persist" for fear of undeserved recrimination and that is a shame. Anyway, I was just thinking about this because @elizabethwarrenma sent out an email blast about her merchandise with this quote on it and it made me chuckle: https://store.elizabethwarren.com/collections/online-store-collection

Here is me paying for yesterday's beautiful cherry blossom photos. I am sneezing like crazy, eyes are watering, itchy, and just, nose is both stuffy AND running, I can't breathe or think. Also this is what I look like. I do love the spring though. 🦋🐻🌈🌳🌷🍀🌺🌼☀️🍒🍓🤸‍♀️🏕🎡

I will pay for this in sneezes and tension headaches later.

Also this olden-timey barber's chair! @ykristyn and I decided on a plan: Step 1: Buy a house. Step 2: Finish the basement. Step 3: Buy one of these chairs. Step 4: Drink beer in this chair. Step 5: I will learn to cut hair. Step 6: I will cut Kristyn's hair. Step 7: Repeat steps 4-6 so long as she has hair and have beer.

Don't mind the big-headed lunatic in the lower right corner. Look at the wall in this barber shop!
