terms to know!

age regression;

age regression (also known as agere) is when somebody reverts to an earlier age state of mind, often (but not always) as a coping mechanism for mental illnesses such as ptsd, depression, anxiety, etc. age regression is an effective form of therapy and recommended by most therapists! it can be done alone, with a therapist or with a friend or s/o. age regressors are often referred to as littles. age regression is NEVER nsfw.

age dreaming;

age dreaming (or agedre) is much like age regression, the biggest difference is someone who is an age dreamer does not actually revert to a younger age like age regressors. age dreaming is NEVER nsfw.

littlespace;

littlespace is a term used to describe the headspace one is in while regressed. although some regressors do not like using this term as it is also used in nsfw communities. littlespace is sfw and nsfw, though ALWAYS sfw when used by agere/dre community!

caregivers;

caregivers (or cg’s) are people who take care of littles! they can be a friend or s/o of the regressor they take care of. they also have a headspace they go to called cgspace. they do not revert to a younger age, instead they take on more of a ‘parent’ role. caregivers do deserve just as much care and love as regressors! caregivers can be referred to as titles like ‘mommy’ or ‘daddy’ though not always. caregivers are NEVER nsfw.

flips;

flips is a term used as a replacement of switches. (although some people still use the term switch, most prefer flip) a flip is someone who is both a regressor and a caregiver. often a flip has a ‘lean’ which is a headspace they lean to (little lean being they regress more often, cg lean being they are a caregiver more often but not every flip has a lean). flips are NEVER nsfw but a switches can be.

pet regression;

pet regression (or petre) is much like age regression, the difference being instead of regressing to a younger age pet regressors go into the headspace of an animal! pet regression is NEVER nsfw.

contrary to popular believe, the terms i have mentioned have no relation to k!nk communities such as dd!g @bdl bd$m etc. these terms are all part of a type of therapy though can be used for other (sfw) reasons.

names for caregivers

femme: mommy, mama, mimi, mama bear, mama fox {etc}, queen, ma

masc: daddy, dada, papa, papa bear, {etc}king

neutral: bubba, bubs, royalty, bug, my love, cuddle monster, (my) bear {again, any animal works}, nicknames from their names! {again, nico-coco, tobi-bibi}

it’s okay for a female cg to like masc nicknames and a male cg to like femme nicknames! always ask what they are comfy with

names for regressors

femme: princess, baby girl, beautiful

masc: prince, baby boy, handsome

neutral: angel, sweetheart, rolayty, pumpkin, kitten, puppy, fox, baby bear, {any animal really}, flower, cutie, my love, love bug, love, bub, baby, sweetie, darling, a nickname made from their name {ie. nico-coco, tobi-bibi etc}

it’s okay for a male little to like femme nicknames and a female little to like masc nicknames! always make sure to ask what they are comfy with
