I actually don’t have a lot of experience with binders, and I don’t think Mod Sky does either, so I’m opening this question up to our followers. 

Anyone with more experience with binders and concealing breasts, please feel free to give suggestions and recommendations! 

(Although, please let’s just stick to binders, I don’t want anyone binding with duct tape. It’s a safety matter.)

I'm only wearing a compression sports bra here (I'm not small btw) but what I did was construct the jacket in a V (manly) shape, making sure there was enough room but over all ignoring my natural shape. (I've got a 9in difference between my chest and waist). It's a theory that works well for me; I haven't had to bind for years. So much more comfortable and safe, I can go all convention without worrying.

Making Big Feathers

Since there were quite a few people who asked how I’ve made a feather for my Captain Fortune cosplay, today I’ll try to make my very first tutorial!

My suggestion would be to:

a) Look at your favourite fandoms and find a memorable quote or title you can mash into a name; if you’re lucky, you can find something just vague enough that it doesn’t limit you to that fandom, but still has a bit of a geeky touch. 

b) Look into puns or plays on words. I’ve always liked @aicosu as a name because from a reader perspective it plays on a couple things: “ai” is Japanese for “love” and “cosu” is a shortened version of the Japanese “cosupure” –– “love cosplay” is a nice name on its own, but they’re a couple so it has an extra touch. It also reminds me of JP use of English phonetically, so “I Cosplay”. No idea what the background of their name is, but that’s the assumption I got. Likewise, our friend Josh goes by JJAB (his initials) but uses both middle names so he gets “jab”, which is a word that describes his personality. I’m sure there are a lot of other clever options.

c) Stay simple with a word and a descriptor; our friend Gina goes by “Red Ribbon Cosplay” and it’s very memorable for it. Easy to spell, easy to keep at the front of your mind, and the doubled letter is fun. Blue Bird, Little Lyre, Orange Octopus, Bubble Box, Chocolate Charms, Pink Pearls, Big Balloon, etc. Favourite colours, favourite animal, favourite word, etc.

Sometimes it can take a while to find something you really dig. Keep at it, you’ll find something eventually :)
