He says he does it to, ‘keep his clean streak going’, but the truth is he did spend one night in prison and it was the most traumatizing night of his life. The well-mannered, sophisticated, true blue toppat life he was used to, was now replaced with a rambunctious, noisy, life threatening enviroment. Homeboy got thrown around like a beach ball in there and instantly started pleading for his knight in shining armour (Right Hand Man) to come and save him. Oh and he didn’t even mention the food! From that point on, never again.

Despite all they’ve done, joining the military, clearing their records, and getting their lives back together, Henry and Ellie could never truly leave the life of crime behind. Any time Charles had important military junk to deal with that doesn't involve them, it's eviling time. None of the petty crimes like shoplifting for food that they had to do in the past, now it's full scale operations planned in advance under Charles’ nose (do the stickmen have noses?). They’re favourite thing to steal was precious gems, obviously, but not for the purpose of looking fabulous.They were just to look at. Basically they were crows. They began to amount to a pretty big stash until they finally got caught.

One day, they were on their way back from a heist, ogling at the purple diamonds they managed to snatch as they opened the door, ready to add them to their ever growing collect-

“Whats in the bag?”

Charles had got home early

“...”

“Nothing.”

Yeah Charles had figured out what they had been up to, and had for a long time. He then proceeded to blow up in their face, how they would be in so much trouble if they ever got caught, how they can’t be doing this type of stuff anymore, a lot of the same stuff they heard Galeforce said they couldn’t do when they first joined the army. Fortunately, they had figured out how to deal with this sort of thing after stealing Charles’ stuff countless times:

“You two can’t keep doing this, if you get caught you’ll never be let back into the-”

Henry and Ellie:

“I- you jus- Uhhhhh, just stop doing this, okay?”

I made that image as a little bit of precursor to this blog if I ever wanted to commit to starting one. The website didn't have a "Do It For Them" option so her was the next best thing. Also ignore the double charles

No real malicious intent in there (most of the time), but more so something that has been baked into her instinct. Having led a life of crime leading up to meeting Henry at the wall, Ellie would most likely have ended up in tricky situations and run-ins with the police quite often. She would always get out of these, though, as like she has said countless times, 

“An alibi is only as good as the person who says it.” 

If she had the confidence, she could get out of anything no matter how improbable what she said sounded. Making up convincing tales on the spot was her specialty. The problem with this though, is once she joined the military, this habit never really stopped. However, instead of lying to get out of trouble, she would just lie for the hell of it.

During the first few months of hanging out with Charles and Henry, this became extremely prominent in day to day life:

“Hey, look at that cool horse over there”

“Look at that huh. Y’know, my dad used to own a three-legged horse. Got a world record with him too.”

“Wow, really?”

“Nah”

In all the Toppat Ellie designs I have seen, a lot of them use pink suits and/or dresses, with the whole top hat high-society concept being the core concept. A design I don't think I've seen anyone play around with, however, is her Among Us design from The Airship trailer:

Explaining his plan was one of the first few times he spoke for a prolonged amount of time in front of Ellie and Charles, so it was a bit of a shock to hear his voice outside of mild grunts and yells. Both of them kept trying to start up conversations on the way back to the army base, but at that point, Henry had decided to continue his mute ways.

Throughout continuing to work/be around each other, Ellie and Charles have tried desperately to get Henry to hold up a conversation, no matter how dirty the tactics. Ellie talking about her old crimes to get him interested, Charles introducing him to the chattiest people around base camp, hiding around corners in case he makes a peep while they aren’t around. Henry knows they aren’t being slick and is just playing into the bit to get on their nerves. His own little gimic.

I’d imagine one day, they were all just hanging out arguing about what to have for dinner. Something pretty standard among friends, nothing malicious, just hungry. Ellie wanted one thing, Charles wanted another, and in a desperate attempt to end this so they can just get food, they both ask Henry to decide for them knowing that this probably isn’t going to lead anywh-

“Pizza sounds good.”

Mental age is such a funny concept to me when it comes to comparisons. Someone could be considered ‘so much smarter’ than someone else, with physical age being a point of reference. However, when you put in the mental age and it shows both are well below where they should be, it really changes your perspective.

I have no confirmed ages for the characters in THSC in my mind, Triple Threat are all in a perpetual stage of mid to late 20s imo. When it comes to personality and brain stuff though, they all vary in levels of intellegence. Do I think Ellie is the smartest of the three? Yes. Is this because Charles and Henry are constantly painted as stupid? Also Yes. However, are they all stupid in my mind? Oh most definetly. Ellie is smarter, but that's only because her mental age is like 13 whilst Charles and Henry’s are like 11. Smarter, but still stupid. And yes, they can be smart when the moment calls for it, Henry being able to make it pass any choice in the game can tell you that. But his ability to have only 1 correct plan out of around 3-4 says enough about his IQ.
