a  whole  team  at  work  is  being  laid  off  despite  them  literally  creating  from  scratch  the  program  we  use  to  do  our  job,  &  one  member  in  particular  (  also  the  only  one  i  kinda  like  like  a  little  )  created  another  program  we  use  daily  by  himself  &  it’s  literally  a  global  world  first  invention.  &  my  company  just  said  ‘  thanks  dylan  &  oh  btw  we’re  firing  u  in  6  months  !  :)  ’

my  dad,  who  is  overweight,  over  60,  &  has  had  multiple  strokes  in  the  last  2  years,  has  c*vid

my  baby  sister  in  another  state  has  found  out  she’s  pregnant  one  week  after  her  blowout  get-wasted  21st  birthday  party

my  dad’s  mum  is  really  depressed  because  of  lockdown  in  northern  ireland

my  dad’s  mum  had  a  really  bad  fall  &  cracked  her  ribs  &  has  a  large  gash  on  her  leg

my  dad’s  mum  has  tested  positive  for  c*vid  so  now  no  one  can  visit  her  &  she’s  in  an  isolated  room  which  will  add  to  her  depressive  state

yesterday  was  the  first  day  in  a  while  i  hadn’t  received  bad  news  ---  &  then  dad  calls  me  around  10pm  aest  to  let   me  know  that  last  one  about  her  having  c*vid.

it’s  just  been  an  absolute  shitfuck  of  a  month,  &  it  was  supposed  to  be  good.  the  jatp  rpc  was  beginning  to  live  instead  of  it  just  being  me  (  &  sometimes  mace  )  shouting  into  the  void  (  thank  gods  for  kate  &  her  tory  plots  or  i  would  have  abandoned  luke  very  quickly  ),  but  instead  i  got  overwhelmed  irl  &  then  .  .  .  idk,  that  fed  my  insecurities  so  now  when  i  log  in  i  a  )  see  drafts  that  are  ageing,  &  b  )  see  that  i  don’t  have  plots  with  anyone,  &  feel  .  .  .  unnecessary  ?  irrelevant  ?  idk  which  word  describes  it  better.  unneeded,  maybe.

this  isn’t  like  a  ‘  boohoo  me  ’  situation,  more  of  a  ‘  there  are  so  many  good  lukes  out  there  who  are  writing  &  plotting  w  ppl  &  here  i  am  .  .  .  taking  up  space  in  the  jatp  rpc  &  not  doing  a  thing  about  it.  ’
