THE robbylangdon dynamic i keep on writing:
robby “i know what i said hurt. it was meant to.” robinavitch
&
frank “everyone leaves. but you— you have to stay. pleasepleaseplease” langdon
robbylangdon is sooo buzzy they make me crazy
If you add 3 sentences to your work in progress and show me, I will add 4 sentences to my work in progress and show you.
HELLO alright, im up for it! this got me going after a little period of inactivity. here we are:
Fact: disclosing thoughts and feeling and allowing someone to be vulnerable typically leads to greater intimacy and understanding between people and, ultimately, more satisfaction.
Frank thinks about the lockers, the shouting, the shame that had coiled low in his gut, the dread and the fear and the utter, awful, hideous, repulsive sort of humiliation that came with pleading Robby to believe him, hear him out, to please please please listen because Robby was the only one he’d ever— no one before had ever—
Another fact: Frank had never begged someone before, not like that. Not even Abby.
Look what came out of it anyway.
won’t you please
“You stole drugs, Frank,” Robby professes, “for god knows how long, right under my nose, and I let it happen.”
“You didn’t know.” Frank tries to mend with his healer’s hands and the tears on his face have dried, leaving behind uncomfortable, itchy skin and he should know better than still pretend he could heal anything between them. “I didn’t tell you.”
“And that’s the problem, isn’t it?” Robby spits out.
Frank flinches at the truth in Robby’s words.

“I’m sorry,” Frank starts, but Robby is already half turning away from him, and the light behind him glows like a halo around his head, and Frank thinks that if god had a face, Robby must’ve been what it was moulded after.
Truly every day I am haunted by that one line from Langdon during the S1 confrontation about him stealing drugs. “You teased me, remember?” I want to know what exactly Robby teased him about. Was it him being a literal doctor and still being too cheap to hire movers? Was it him being an in-shape marathon runner who still managed to hurt himself by moving too fast? Or was it him being too unmanly, too weak, to handle moving a few boxes and pieces of furniture?
Did they laugh it off together? Did Langdon feel that bite in the pit of his stomach, that burn of shame, knowing that he’d revealed a vulnerability to his mentor and had been mocked because of it? Langdon learned in that moment that his pain is something to be joked about, not worthy of concern, and that he could never come to Robby with something like that again.
Every day I am haunted. “You could have come to me.” But he had. Before he was ever prescribed a single pill, he had come to him. He had come to the man whose opinion he cared more about than almost any other man on the planet, legitimately believing even then that he was Robby’s best friend. He had brought something out—an admission of pain, of weakness, something often difficult for men to bring up to their friends in the first place—and Robby punted it away with a smile. Taught him that as his golden boy, perfection was expected from him. Taught him to keep everything that followed inside so that he wasn’t teased again.
So much could have been changed if Robby hadn’t teased him. If the unspoken rules around masculine friendships had been different. I would chew glass if it would give me the specifics of how that exact conversation went down.
langtaker need to get into an awful awful fight bc of something that ticks dennis off and frank makes it worse, and they need to fight so cruelly that it turns physical and then dennis manhandles frank and pushes him flat against the lockers, holding franks arms behind his back and the more frank fights back, the harder dennis pushes him into the lockers & it finally makes frank go all quiet and almost pliant and there’s a slight ache in his back but he just sucks it in and it leads to him pushing harder against dennis (it’s futile) (dennis discovers something new about himself) (he’s into this)
making myself giggle with these
i'm fast as fuck boyyyyyyyyyyyy

frank langdon and his innate ability to annoy everyone in his vicinity by just being there is very dear to me
Robbylangdon as bruharvey
won’t you please
Frank hadn’t just disappointed Robby, he’d betrayed him. He’d pushed the greatest man he’d known to his knees, he’d forced Robby’s hand to release the leash Frank had tied up in a bow around his throat. He’d taken everything Robby had to offer and then he’d had the gall to ask for more.
But in his dreams, Robby doesn’t kick him out of the hospital that night. He doesn’t kick him out of his life. In his dreams, Robby asks him why.
Why did you do it, Frank? dream-Robby holds his face gently, like Frank is made out of porcelain, like Frank, who is cold and cruel and callous and lashes out when he feels vulnerable, is something to be handled with care. And Frank tells him: on his knees, repentant and reverent all at once, Frank confesses all his sins and dream-Robby, a hallowed, blurred figure, holds him in despite of them.
In his dreams, Robby forgives him. That’s how Frank knows they’re dreams.
are you aware you have an aggressive energy, trinity

The thought of Langdon being scared about his back pain and scared to treat it because he’s worried he’s gonna relapse again and Whitaker just coming in “I know how to massage.” and Langdon’s like “huh-“ and then Dennis picks him up and slams him face down on a bed and messages his back until Langdon is passed out and drooling. THIS is WAY more addicting.
Dennis Whitaker utilizing that farm boy strength to throw older, heavier men over his shoulders and slam them onto couches or beds just cause he can and likes to toss ‘em around fuckkk oh my god
