this is not my last masterpiece š salmon.
ācome on, i didnāt do that.ā solomon shook his head, a wry smile on his face as he looked at sawyer. again, he still couldnāt believe how important he was to sawyer, that he could matter that much to anyone at all. it scared him, and it was even worse knowing he would only let sawyer down in the end. he leaned against the wall then, like he couldnāt support his own weight any longer, like it was all a burden too heavy to bear. for a second, silence hung in the air, and solomon scuffed his toe against the floor. not looking at sawyer, he said,Ā āyou think too much of me.ā
āand you donāt give yourself enough credit,ā sawyer rebutted, watching solomonās every move, though he was trying to play cool. every word of this conversation set his nerves alight, but he needed to come off as casually as he could. the worst thing he could do was make it even more evident that, no matter what, he cared about whatever this was between them more than solomon did.Ā āi like you and i like kissing you and hanging out with you,ā he said with a shrug,Ā āyou...make me happy right now, and right now is all that really matters.ā
