Celebrating some good news, I have been chosen for this years Writers Guild Foundation Veterans program. It is a movie script development program taught by mentor writers from Hollywoods film industry. Last year I did not make the cut but with a little hard work and better focus I made it this time. I am both nervous and excited about this new adventure. Keep working on your dreams even when times are challenging. Ret. Lieutenant Colonel John Knebel: John started his flying career at age 19 before getting commissioned into the hashtag Army Air Corps. While serving in Africa during World War Two he was briefly assigned as personal pilot to the French general Charles de Gaulle. After the war he worked as a test pilot for Convair flying rockets, some of the earliest jet fighters and the Convair XFY-1 Experimental VTOL “Pogo ”. John is one of my favorite people I have met while photographing he is bright, charming, always very funny and an American Hero. During these dark periods there are times when you lose faith and you are challenged.
