All living beings come with magic because they all live on a magical plane of existence. Magic flows through everything and everyone including earth ponies. Earth ponies magic comes directly from there environment there hooves touch directly down towards the dirt and Magic flows up in there bodies. They don’t have high outputs like unicorns so you can’t visibly see there magic. Since earth ponies are tied to there lands you would often see them having certain traits and abilities fitting there every day life.

Smurfette being a homunculus made out of clay and dark magic. Awoken with hatred and created with a sole purpose to search and find the Smurf Village with the intentions of taking Papa Smurf. She was made not to feel pain, hunger, or exhaustion so she can endure longer in her search. Walking days on end without rest or break made her body slowly start to deteriorate and fail her. When she finds Smurf village, she makes a destructive path beelining straight to Papa Smurf. Destroying houses and buildings tearing walls down to look for him. The only reason why papa Smurf didn’t outright destroy her with his magic is because while they fought he saw the anger and confusion in her eyes. She wouldn’t dodged or parry his attacks only take them head on her body crumbling before him.

He bounded and isolated her so she can’t hurt anyone else. Papa stayed with her slowly repairing the cracks and giving her nothing but patience and kindness. She kicked and punched clawing at him whenever he was near but his magic kept her still. He stayed with her for weeks to months until finally she completely went limped.

“Why are you here?”

“To find papa Smurf.”

“Who sent you?”

“My master.”

“What is your name?”

Twilight is aro

The porcupine was naturally distant from the other critters in this town. With so many species ranging from small chipmunks all the way to large moose, it was natural for some to form groups based on their biological makeup. Flaky would often hang out with her fellow rodents, Toothy and Handy the beaver cousins, and her best friend Cuddles the rabbit. But even with a friend group, she still held her distance physically. Her quills are a darker red and fan outwards unless held down by bobbypins. She had to be, even as a herbivore, she was still the biggest rodent in her group. She'd often had to relearn how to sit down lest she accidentally squish her friends. This caused Flaky to hang around others who were sturdier. Flaky was hanging out with Pops and his son, Cub. This led Flaky to take a job as a babysitter for the young bear to get some extra cash while also filling that loneliness in her heart. Pops and his group of bears, Flippy, and the obviously staged name, disco bear, would sip beers and watch the game. Flaky would come in, sit on the far side, and whisper to Cub about which team has the best players or strategies. And it was fun for her to relax without wondering if she'd poke or squish anybody; she'd quickly learned the habits of each bear.

Pops was the first and the easiest to get along with. He's much older than her, and his strict but kind style left Flaky feeling nostalgic for her own mom. Very doting on his only son. He'd often leave notes around the house whenever Flaky watched over Cub, detailing bedtimes and playtime hours. He'd even hand Flaky big hearty leftovers whenever he could.

Disco Bear was overly enthusiastic about everything. The brightly colored bear had the most energy out of the trio, only being beaten by Cub. Disco bear found Flaky to be practical, if that was even a compliment. Her boyish appearance had covered her from his empty flirts and remarks. He always greeted her, but their conversations were short; flaky just wasn’t his type.

And finally, Flippy, the retired veteran. Flaky had heard of him long before they met in a town so knitted together that word got out of a retired hero. She had imagined a great and prideful man chest out and head high. When they met, however, he was curt and to the point, with a firm handshake, and that was it. Whenever Flaky walked into the room, he would shift, turning his knees away from wherever she stood. He never said anything to her, but she never asked him either.

Flaky laid on her side, her quilled back facing out with her arm pinned under her. The other arm gripped the blanket tight making sure it was on her.

When she got out of the hospital she had limped her way to her brother's trailer instead of her own hobbit hole. Her broken sobbing was the thing that woke him up.

Flaky shoes scuffed with dried blood laid next to the pull out couch where she laid limp. Lumpy her step brother had work in the early morning kissing her head softly he left some cash on the table next to an unopened bottle of cola. Pulling his work boots on he gave a weak goodbye only met with another sob. A soft click of the door meant she was truly alone.

One of the quills near the center of her back had snapped off instead of releasing normally. Whenever she moved it shifted wrong pulling at the couch under her.

She didn’t mean it.

Truly.

She didn’t see him when he pulled her to that alley way. Struggling and tugging she turned her back to him. His screams were louder than hers thrashing against her she felt the hot sting of a closed fist against her face. Then another and another. Flaky had thrusted her body against him, reminding him of something she knows deeply.

Flaky internally: omg this is so weird I never really hang out with toothy alone. What do I say? When is cuddles coming back? I bet he thinks this is weird. Omg omg—

I really wanted to take Pomni bangs away but I had no idea what to put instead in my first attempt. I decided bells because they are cute. This is when Pomni first spawned in she’s very bright and saturated. In this au the humans can change forms that reflect on there mental state (very important later) and Pomni is fresh meat.
