Bradley's slightly labored breathing underneath Jake's hands even as he tries to be so so gentle, winces and gasps as Jake dabs away the blood, teeth gritted bcs he hates hurting Bradley, hates having to cause any sort of pain, maybe Bradley has a firm grip on one of Jake's wrists, squeezing his fingers around it tight as he cries out, and Jake bites his lip, whispers small apologies as he does his best to tend to the wounds without hurting him

he hates rooster, he hates him so much for hurting him, for breaking his heart, for making him love him so wholly all just to take him apart and destroy him, he hates how much he fucking loved him, and he hates that he hates him because he could never bring himself to hate Bradley

and every day he wishes he could go back to that night that they met, wishes that he could turn back time so that they would never meet, so Jake wouldn't have to look at the man he once loved and feel hatred, because deep down his heart still burns for Bradley, and oh wouldn't it have been easier if they never met
