All of this (physical life / incarnation), is a very intricate and skillfully designed Game, whereby the One Infinite Creator, plays the game of forgetting who It is, so that It can learn to remember, and in doing so, experience and know Itself as Creator. All the way down to us tiny individuated sparks of the All That Is. Off stage, and between “Lives” (zero-point time / anti-matter Universe) as incarnated “human beings”, we, all of us / you (as Souls), are great friends. Brothers and Sisters in The One. Our interior-life moves in great cycles, just like the ones we can see in the physical world, like the revolution of the planets or the movements of the stars. Whatever experience we are having in life, remember that it is part of a larger cycle. Sometimes, by identifying what part of which cycle we are feeling, we can remove some of the resistance and fear that accompanies a negative change.

Such are the physics of the Soul.

To the Adepts of the Primordial Tradition:

The experience of Mercury is much like the feeling the of receptivity, or becoming aware of all that we are in the process of receiving at any given time, be it sense impressions, thoughts, emotions, etc.

At the same time, the function of Sulfur is occurring within us as well. Sulfur, in the alchemical sense, may be imagined as our awareness of all that we will to be, or the observation of that force which causes us to direct change in our physical and non-physical worlds. Fire has long been the symbol for our essential faculty of Will-Power.

That third great element is the equilibrating function of Salt. Salt, white and crystallized, is a symbol of that which is Fixed, or unmoving. The only part of man which is truly fixed, from the moment we are born to the moment that we make the final transition in this life, is our essential awareness itself. We are aware of the present moment, before thought or the development of personality, despite any exterior experience. This faculty of the human being, when wielded by the hand of our higher nature, becomes for us a Rod or Staff, a means of control, around which the serpents of will and receptivity constantly intertwine.
