She pursed her lips slightly, why would this be witness protection. “I mean aren’t you a wizard like me? Or is it something else?” She crossed her arms over her chest, pondering what he could possibly mean. 

"Oh yeah I’ve got the magic down to a science and something else I shouldn’t really mention but let’s say waking up to a dark room and nothing but silence isn’t fun."

"Dark room and nothing but silence? What do you mean by that?" She bit her bottom lip, trying to rack her brain for what that could mean. "At least you’ve got the magic part down.  It took me forever to stop accidentally letting it loose." She laughed softly.

"I meant I was kidnapped and my family put my magic first since I was super little so I wouldn't go around with a chance of lost control." 

He followed well he obviously came off weak which was perfectly fine with him,”I mean I know bout them and that it’s just almost as if I’m only here for my safety I can’t shake the feeling of it’s more witness protection then an education.”

As if the other needed to ask that question. Though a few seeds of doubt remained he knew he needed the tasks and the money and the more finer aspects of training in both defense and offense. “Yes I’m sure would’ve probably already left if I wasn’t.”

She knew that was a stupid question, however she needed to know if he was a hundred percent sure about his decision because once you accepted the offer there were no turn backs, it was like as if you just sold your soul to the devil.  All this time Celaena’s angelical yet deadly features remained impassive. "Alright then. Follow me." The Assasssin’s guild, Derek’s new home wasn’t far away from the place he was commanded to meet Celaena.

Exactly what he was expecting and hoping to hear,"Wasn't expecting any so it's all good I won't take it personally." He looks around taking every twist and turn into memory.

"Oh Darling…" Eden set her glass of wine down on the table beside her, standing now. "Let me help you to your room. I know what it’s like to be the new kid, knowing nothing about your abilities and the like." The rooms in the boys hall were no longer off limits to the girls, as long as the doors/curtains were kept open.  The rooms actually had a charm that prevented the doors/curtains from closing when there were females in the room.

Derek noticed how confident she was and that if they got in a fist fight she’d eventually win the thing,”Derek but you probably knew that already..” How do you go about this thing? He thinks and thinks trying to assess what to do.

"Clever boy, aren’t you?" The left side of her red lip tugged upwards creating a sinister smirk on her goddess like face. “Once you finish training, I’m sure you will become one of Arobynn’s favourites.” She muttered and the smile never left her plump reddish lips.

Assassin In Training

Celaena noticed Derek’s arrival from the very first moment he placed a foot across the room, her bright azure orbs studied from head to toe the male figure that was standing right in front of her. He was so much taller than her, he was muscular with square black and shoulders. He looked more like a soldier than an assassin but perhaps that might change soon.

First Year and I'm Not All Here

Eden was relaxing on one of the plush leather couches that were placed all over the common room.  She had a book on her stomach and a glass of wine in her hand.  It was the perfect night, with everyone leaving her alone.  But of course it couldn’t stay that way. She looked up, hearing someone ask her a question. “Hmm? Oh the mens dormitories are down that hall.” She sat up, trying to not be rude, “I’m Eden by the way, are you new?” It was strange to see students showing up in the middle of the year.

He picked them back up,"Uh yeah I'm Derek the puzzle of the year probably to be fair I'm not exactly all aware of anything that's going on and or why I'm here but yeah.."
