Brooklyn Carver || Carlson Young
thirty-two. bartender @ swinging door. native
grew up in a military family. for generations on, someone in the family has enlisted. for her, it was her father and she was raised almost solely by her mother.
however, there came a time when her older brother enlisted as well, leaving her to take care of her mother when her baby boy took off for the marines.
brooklyn was only sixteen when dakota left for the marines and it left a bitter taste in her mouth. she thought after seeing how distraught her mother was all the time after their father was in the marines.
for twelve years, brooklyn lived without her brother. she wrote him letters often, usually calling him an idiot at least once or twice in each hand written letter.
despite some bitterness for her brother, she remained close with him, because they were all each other really had.
brooklyn was always kind of a brat growing up, in the sense that she could get pouty fast.
becoming head cheerleader was a huge accomplishment and with it, came greater responsibilities, like dating the head football star
when she first started dating tate mitchum, brooklyn was head over heels about the whole situation.
they were a really great couple in the beginning. they were practically fawned over in the hallways, high school dynamics and such.
however, their relationship came with a lot of pressure and they were constantly breaking up and getting back together.
the whole back and forth thing was exhausting for the both of them, leaving them far from even tempered on a good day.
neither of them were the best of significant others for one another, never truly understanding the depth of the relationship at the end of the day when all she felt was the pressure to be with him because of an image that people had pulled together for her.
after high school, brooklyn didnât really do much. she headed off to college, continuing to be on the cheer team and making passing grades, the bare minimum if she was being honest with herself.
brooklyn has a bachelorâs degree in biology. one that she really doesnât use to this day. she wasted a minor amount of money to be on a college career team, only to come back to tupelo and start bartending.
at thirty-two years old, bartending is still something she does and well, she doesnât see her career path changing any time soon. she has developed quite the relationship with the patrons of the swinging door and the tips arenât half bad at the end of the day either.
