Night time was the best to work maintenance. A large house was a dream come true and his money could pay it off, and as a matter of fact, kind of expected of him to have these living conditions. Once outside, he stood by the edge of the pool, and when looking at his side, found Cole standing there. He would've jumped and be startled, but it was really hard for his senses to not pick his smell up. "I thought you were sleeping." He pointed, "something wrong?"

cain had awoken long before the moment the other man touched his door. cain had been up attempting to work on his studies. he was feeling restless after having cared for one of the creatures that he had conjured up, personally overseeing that their wounds got treatment before coming back home today. his mind was still running a thousand miles per minute, and he had ugh homework to do. noticing something moving outside of his window, cain took a moment to study outside and noticed the other.

he walked outside and was probably more quiet than he needed to be. he smiled and shook his head when the other said that he thought he was sleeping and asked if something was wrong. "no. just... had a lot on my mind from earlier." he admits. "how about you? it's awfully late. shouldn't you be getting rest?" pot meets kettle.

cain hummed as he listened to the other man's words. he supposed what his words were true. everyone has needs. whether they're physical or psychological needs. whether that person is mortal, godly, or monstrous. cain nodded his head. "perhaps you would like to join me? i was relaxing by the pool and hot tub." cain explained. he mentally sent a command to his creatures to avoid being within eye sight of the mortal. he didn't want to be chased out of another town.

"come. i even have some lemonade." not even waiting for the other man to give an answer, cain reached over and gently grabbed his wrist before pulling him inside and shutting the door. practically dragging him towards the pool area.

cain laid down on one of the pool chairs, his body now truly being shown off even when he wasn't mindfully doing it. the thick globes of his ass hugging the trunks, that waist to ass ratio, his thick chest pressed down onto the straps of the chair. "i'm happy that you at least decided i would be the person you'd come to. for whatever these needs are." he said slyly, shooting a wink at the other man.

cain's eyes stared as he glanced around the scene. on first glance, the pup looks almost normal. until you notice the fact that it had a extra head with it's own set of eyes, teeth, ears, and such. "shush, now, you are safe." a hand was gently patting it's head and small body in a soothing gesture while the other hand cradled a egg. the egg was scaled and a dark pinkish color. a creature that would eventually be born by cain's design. and the pup had been attempting to protect the egg when apparently some hunters had decided to go after both the pup and the egg.

but thankfully someone helped the young pup.

righting himself, his eyes stared unblinkingly at the man for a moment. he could sense a large amount of magic on him. the son of echnida, the greek mother of monsters, had access to magic himself. although he tended to use it for his creations. this one's magic seemed more... verse. even if cain is more than confident he'd be able to handle him in a fight.

"you protected him," it wasn't a question. a statement. a fact. both hands came back to the egg as he moved towards him. "them, actually." he corrected himself as his gaze wondered down to the egg. "despite knowing what they were, you helped them fight off the hunters. and from what i have heard, it's not the first time either. what do you wish to gain?"

a soft sigh escaped cain's lips as he laid back in the grass with a smile. he could sense them. his little monstrosities running around the nearby forest. the dragon eggs and other creature eggs that were carefully organized in the nursery that he had in the mansion. he let out a soft sigh as he sensed a familiar presence. matt. originally, cain had only been getting close to him with the plan to feed him to one of his monsters. but the mortal was turning out to be quite amusing, so he's decided to keep him around. and he could sense the other coming to the front door.

"i believe i was seeing him a few months ago. gregg, right?" cain asked after a moment of thinking. cain remembered the guy. it was one of the few instances where there wasn't a dramatic break up. it was just two guys who ended up realizing that they weren't as compatible as they had originally thought they were. one of the few times cain hadn't felt tempted to sick a monster or a curse on someone who he's broken up with. "we've definitely been around a few parties together. although i don't know if we ever really talked to much with one another."

"why do you want to cross?" his eyes narrowed at the other as he slowly stood up. sure, he was only 5'8. not exactly the definition of intimidation in terms of height. but there was an aura around him that practically radiated and warned the other to tread lightly.

a trade? a tempting thought. "your word." cain nodded his head. "your word that you will not harm or kill any monster that isn't trying to kill you. failure to abide by your word? and i will hunt you down and deal with you and your party myself." his eyes narrowed cautiously as he gently placed the egg in the bag and set it down. and then the other man stepped forward and offered himself.

"and your body as well." he added on with a smirk. "i'll help you with whatever you need. escort you where ever you want, as long as it's not into a monster's lair." he approached the other, a finger teasingly tracing the boy's lips as he smirked. "do we have a deal, pretty boy?"

"why should i answer that?" he wondered out loud as if they hadn't both heard the answer in the room.

cain hummed as he heard the other man's words. "many thanks," cain's voice came out sarcastic as he lazily turned around to grab the purse. unafraid of the other man suddenly moving towards him. he was just about to exit the room, and perhaps tell the snake that it was feeding time when the other man spoke up. it made cain pause briefly as he looked the other man up and down. blade back at the other man, only this time? it was teasingly sliding down his body. "and are you going to behave for me this time?" he asked with a quirked eyebrow.

cain's eyes rolled as he took the other man's hand, allowing him to help him stand up. a quiet whistle, so high pitched that only a certain breed could hear it, and the invisible monster lurking nearby had backed off. it's gaze staring hungerily at the body that was now beheaded on the ground. “i had everything under control. though i suppose i should say thank you, regardless” although he supposes from the outside looking in? it looked nothing of the sort. “i'm assuming you're a knight here ser…” he trailed off, obviously waiting for the other to introduce himself. cain, the son of the mother of monsters, was visiting from his own kingdom. the prince having been offered a summons to work on some rather… tense relations between the two kingdoms.

that was the great thing for cain about being a brood keeper. there is always more than one pair of eyes on him, even if no one else can see the monsters lurking nearby. the moment he noticed the deception, his little slithering friend told him just who it was. tracking the other had proven to be difficult, but eventually? cain managed to catch up to him. his blade pressed against the other man's throat and his eyes narrowed.

"i would have been more than happy to show you that sword, had you not have tried to get away with my gold swiftly after saying that," he said with a snort of amusement. "you weren't subtle enough considering there was another pair of eyes watching both of us." cain said as he pressed the other down onto the bed, the blade still at the other man's throat. not caring of the other man 's state of undress in this particular moment. "have any good reasons why i shouldn't add a little red to this room?"
