*smiles down at him, keeping him close to his chest* I love you Xander, even if I don't have a beating heart, I love you with all my heart and soul, no matter what happens *feels and hears his heart racing and leans down to respond to the kiss just as passionately and with everything he feels for his fiance*

“And if we don’t act with caution, it’ll only result in more.” He met Angel’s gaze. “You’re not the only one to notice how dire our situation is. If the infected don’t kill us, there’s still a very good chance that starvation, dehydration, or even another illness will. And we all know it.” His voice was sharp, but only because he knew all it would take is Angel’s losing face in front of the group to make their collective panic and anxiety that much worse. “I understand your concern—hell, I share it. I know how you are, Angel. You want to save the world. But for now, all we can do is as we’ve been doing. It’s hardly the life any of us would hope for…but we’re surviving.”

Angel looked at his ring on his left hand, the engagement ring that he gave to Xander to make him believe he was gone..the same ring he gave back when he forgiven Angel for everything. Angel slowly looked up "I'm sorry Wesley, everything is just getting to me...I'm not thinking clearly when I'm alone like this, I'm fine when out there but here...it's all so personal and everyone is so close...I care about you all but I mean...there's no space but we all live and learn"

Wesley raised his eyebrows in surprise. Angel wasn’t afraid…that was rather foolish, in Wesley’s opinion. Might result in his doing something reckless. But then again, it was Angel…ever the hero. He nodded, not wanting to contemplate their hitting the road. “I’d appreciate it if you kept this anxiety between us…Fred’s been working nonstop since the infection started, and the last thing she needs is any additional pressure. Lord knows she wouldn’t stop to eat if Tara didn’t ask her to.”

Angel had changed since he was made a Vampire again, everyone knew what he did to protect the people he loved. He closed his eyes and sighed "I'm not going to spring it on anyone...I'm just...I don't want anyone else to get hurt Wesley" he reopened his eyes to look at the Englishman "Too many have died already..."

Angel closed his eyes "We need a cure...something...just something"

“Honestly?” he asked, gazing into the fire. “Aside from the lack of amenities…I’m quite in my element. I spend my days reading and killing monsters, and my nights tossing and turning restlessly on an uncomfortable surface. Not really a far cry from my life before the apocalypse, truth be told.” Watching the flames, he stared down at the ground. Even the preferred method of killing the infected—guns and crossbows, from a safe distance—suited him. What did that say about him, that aside from contact lenses, a decent cup of tea, being in possession of his entire library, and the luxury of a hot shower, he was fairly unaffected by this whole business? He shuddered to think.

Angel raised his brow "I would have never guessed but then again you have changed a lot" he grabbed some more branches from their stash as the fire was getting smaller, he threw more in and rubbed his hands out of habit "Was there many walkers our near the perimeter?" he asked as he grabbed a small blade, letting it twirl between his fingers as he sat back down "They're getting smarter...learning new tricks and places to hide, finding food till they find a human...it's strange...like a new revolution" he frowned and saw Wesley's reaction "Sorry just saw a lot out there tonight..."
