Summary: During the events of episode 8, Caine was successfully rebooted, But with some minor adjustments by kinger due to a lack of trust.

Caine was stripped of his admin privileges, and his abilities. No teleportation, no flight, almost no conjuring, he had the same power as the humans.

Although he wants to change and be a better ringmaster, forgiveness is a privilege in a circus like hell.

Hearing… online.

Admin commands… restricted by unknown admin.

Movement… damaged.

Visuals… damaged.

Memories… online.

Emotional regulation… loading… loading… ERROR unable to fully load.

“Caine..?”

Caine woke up, standing in a t-posed position, his arms falling to his sides. Pomni, Ragatha, and Kinger surrounded him. They were by the stage. Caine was confused. Wasn’t he dead? His eyes darted left and right, processing his surroundings.

“Caine are… you okay?” Ragatha asked him. His vision was blurry. His legs felt broken. Caine tried to take a step toward Kinger, but his legs couldn’t handle his own weight.

“Crap!” Pomni rushed over to catch him before he hit the ground. She lifted Caine up to a comfortable position for the both of them. “I’ll take that as a no.”

Kinger stepped up to Caine. “How are your vitals?” He asked. “Anything unstable? Broken? Is there anything we can do for you?”

Caine tried to speak but nothing seemed to come out, no matter how hard he tried. “Cant talk?” Pomni said, slightly annoyed. Caine nodded. He checked his vitals again. His speech function seemed to be fine.

“Oh great. you got the dentures working again….” Jax came up to the group. He sounded quieter than usual.

“Oh my god, Jax can you not right now?” Ragatha stepped up to Jax. “Kinger told you we were only restoring him for stability purposes! Not for his adventures.” The two started arguing. Both getting louder and louder with each sentence. Kinger tried to intervene but Jax and Ragatha were both too fixated on each other.

Caine noticed something next to the pillar where the suggestion box used to be. His cane. He took a light step forward while reaching for it. Pomni noticed.

“Your cane? How did it even appear there..? Sigh whatever.” Pomni slightly adjusted their position and carefully helped Caine walk over to it. Pomni bent down to grab it as to not let go of Caine. “Here you go.” Pomni handed him his cane.

Caine smiled. “T-thank… y-you…” Pomni was shocked for a moment but quickly brushed it aside. “Sure.”

Jax and Ragatha were still fighting and practically yelling at this point. Kinger had reached his breaking point. “WILL YOU TWO SHUT THE HELL UP?!” Both of them stopped. No one had seen Kinger ever get angry like that “Thank you!” Kinger said back in his usual tone. “Jax, Ragatha is right. We brought Caine back solely for the purpose of keeping the circus from decaying more.” 

Jax scoffed “whatever…” he walked away from the scene, mostly out of anger. Ragatha squeezed her upper arm. She looked like she was about to cry. “I… I’m sorry for lashing out like that Kinger… I shouldn’t have done that…”

Kinger placed his hand on her shoulder “It’s perfectly fine Ragatha. We’ve all had a long day.” Ragatha teared up but quickly wiped her eye.

Caine and Pomni stepped back over to Kinger and Ragatha “s-so… you brought me back to k-keep the circus f-from… d-decaying..?” Ragatha got defensive to keep Caine from getting angry again “n-no! Of course not! We just-“ kinger place a hand on her shoulder again and gave her a stern look. Ragatha quickly looked over to him. “W-we… okay….” Ragatha looked back over to Caine.

“Yes. We did.” Ragatha looked down while hugging herself. Kinger stepped forward to explain. “You created this place. You ran its code. Without you, the code falls apart.” Caine let go of Pomni out of shock. He was able to stand thanks to his cane. He felt so important, yet so unimportant at the same time. 

He turned around and began walking to the café. Pomni turned around to him. “Caine?” Caine stopped for a moment. “I guess I was right. All you humans care about is yourselves…” Caine continued walking to the café, leaving Pomni, Kinger, and Ragatha in pure shock.

AAAAAaaaaand there it is!!! The very first chapter of the lover with a broken heart! Most of this story is gonna be “how do I lead this to this” because I don’t really have the time or energy to make up a full plot besides the beginning and the end ._.

Jax: i don't talk to him, he doesn’t talk to me.

Pomni: I’ve tried talking with her a couple of times but she never responds. I’ve given up trying.

ragatha: I kinda feel bad for her. I did some research on the type of relationship she had with her mother and I think I may have gone a bit too far…

zooble: I’ve also tried talking things out with Zooble. But I’ve also given up on that as well.

The lover was born without a heart, yet he always wanted friends, or people to love, but he didn’t know how to get others to love him back.

The lover was a magician, he showed people magic and wonders, but the people never liked his tricks.

They always hated them.

Until one day, the people began to strike back and attack him, so he began to attack back, the lover realized what he was doing. 

“I’ll never get friends like this!” The lover cried. At long last, he finally had found a heart. Yet the people still attacked him.

They attacked and attacked. The lovers heart had already broke. His magic had suddenly disappeared.
