Anon asked: Hey! If it’s possible could you tell me how to apply the sparkly overlay?

Sure! This is how I do it, I’m sure there are other ways but this is just the method I use. This tutorial is for placing an overlay over an image to create a moving GIF using Adobe Photoshop. There may be other programs you can use, but Photoshop is my go-to. I only learned this recently so I’m a beginner myself, but I hope you find this helpful! 

It is possible to place GIF overlays on top of both still images and other GIFs. This tutorial shows putting an overlay on a still image, but GIFs aren’t much different. Don’t stress if you make mistakes or don’t get it right the first time, Photoshop and GIF-making take practice!

Difficulty: medium, basic Photoshop skills are useful

these edits can be accomplished with all sorts of free editing softwares, but today I will be using Photoshop !  (which you can also find download links for online if ur sneakyyy ;)

okay, here’s a very quick tutorial as requested on how to get do the above falling squares effect. I made this graphic a while ago so bear with me if this is a bit vague, but i hope it’s helpful! it’s not hard at all, just requires changing brush settings on photoshop.

WAVE TEXT EFFECT TUTORIAL BY TIMEVORTX

Recently, some lovely people have commented on the text effects used in my botm posts, so I decided to make a tutorial demonstrating the “wave text effect” used in my most recent botm post, as seen here.

A lovely anon requested I make a tutorial for how I made the gifs from this gifset. I decided to create a new gif that mimicked the style of the gifset so I could take those reading the tutorial through the complete process. All you need is adobe photoshop, a basic level of knowledge of the program, and patience!
