Like my summer thingy has me running around in the Texas heat for 12 hours a day.

Don’t get me wrong I love it, it’s just very draining.

I haven’t written anything in a bit lol. But at one of our hosing sites for my summer thingy, the showers had locker rooms that looked like jail cells. It was a tiny room with like 10 or 15 lockers, and mirror, and a chain link door. And I just randomly thought of this haha.

Parrot stares into the jail cell, metal bars obscuring the view of his best friend.

Wifies sits against the wall, in a straight jacket. Dark purple bags sit underneath his tired eyes as he look at Parrot.

Unable to bear looking at the decrepit state of his friend any longer, the avian stands up to leave.

Wifies: Do you think I’m a monster?

Parrot: …

Wifies: Parrot. Do you?

Parrot turns. He thinks for a moment before speaking.

Parrot: I think you’re sick. I think at some point something got in your head. Something happened that made you think horrible things. That made you think differently of the server. You didn’t reach out or ask for help because you thought you could handle it. Slowly, your own thoughts destroyed you. The old you. And now… here you are.

Parrot pauses, looking down.

Parrot: You’re not a monster. Not you. Never you. You’re just… sick.

Wifies looks at Parrot. His deadpan eyes borinh into the avian. The straight jacket seems to squeeze the human tighter with every breath.

Parrot: … I’ll see you tomorrow, Wifies.

Parrot lingers for a moment longer, before he turns around to leave. Wifies watches as the bright green feathers of his best friend disappear behind a metal door.

I feel like I use proper nouns too much. Especially the names of characters. That’s one thing I noticed. Basically I’m asking for constructive criticism rn

What CNA I do to make my writing better? Or flow better? Lmk pls

one thing that helped was just highlighting every time we used a character's name and looking for any clusters. if i think i use a name too much in one area, ill see if i can swap it for a pronoun. if it doesnt make sense or it becomes unclear who its referring to, THEN USE EPITHETS. I LOVE EPITHETS. I PROBABLY OVERUSE THEM AT THIS POINT BUT I DONT CARE. i usually try to go into writing planning out a few epithets for each character so the writing flows more naturally ^•^

What if after the Invisible Identity arc (I forget the proper name for it lol), Wemmbu developed PTSD from being invisible so much. He gets anxiety whenever he has to use invisibility potions. He tries to avoid using invis as much as possible unless he has no other choice, and even when he does use it, he pushes his anxiety down. And then later when he’s in a safe place (somewhat of a safe place), he lets it out again OR CONTINUES TO SUPPRESS IT AND DOESN’T ALLOW HIMSELF TO BE VULNERABLE
