Moving into a new apartment wasn't easy. Especially with this one heavy-ass suitcase you were basically forced to drag up the stairs. You angrily thank the elevators for their decision to break today!
Your chest heaved as your pulled it up to the 5th floor....out of 20. You wanted to figuratively die, if you weren't already dying of exhaustion.
"Howdy, need some help?" The deep voice of a woman made you jump and turn.
A beautiful minotaur woman cocked her head as she looked down at you. Her muscles very evident from her loose tanktop and folded arms. You gulped, trying so hard to not sweat so profusely from your struggles and now... for a gorgeous new reason.
"Oh! Um, yeah, if it's not too much trouble..." you mumble, looking away and scratching the back of your neck.
"Course not! Always good to help a neighbour! What floor are you on?" She moved behind your suitcase and within 5 seconds, had your hulking suitcase over her broad shoulders with ease.
"UM!! Oh, 20th floor..." you watch in awe as she smiled and nodded, before beginning to walk up the stairs like she was carrying groceries.
"Thank you so much! I hope it's not too heavy!"
"Not a problem, this is actually similar in weight to my usual weight sets. So you're actually helping me get my work-out in today!"
Your floor is reached within half the time it took you to get to the 5th floor on your own.
"Thank you so much again..."
"Lily." She smiled, you shook her hand as you smiled back. The awkwardness as to where to go from here, with your hands still clasped made you gulp again.
"Would you...would you like a glass of water?" You ask, shyly. You really didn't want to see her go just yet and you weren't too sure how to repay her. She gave your grasped hand a squeeze before letting go.
"A glass of water sounds lovely."
Oh thank the gods she accepted.
