{â } â; âNo need to thank me, I simply just do not wish to harm others if I donât need to, especially one Iâm to be housing with.â she smiles, extending her gloved hand back to him, shaking firmly. What a kind fellow, you donât see chivalry like this a lot.
{â } â; âItâs a pleasure to meet you, Flynn, I suppose weâre in the same boat then, considering I have only been called here recently too. My name is Sonya, normally Iâm sure youâd have heard of me, but probably not in this land.â she sighs. Usually her reputation preceded her. Building it up again sounded tiresome.
{â } â She takes her first step out the door, buffeted by the wind before glancing back. With one hand on the door, she leans down a bit, talking closer to Flynn. Perhaps a tad too close for the otherâs comfort, but she didnât mean to be domineering. Simply friendly.
{â } â; âHereâs an idea, since weâre both new why donât we head out together then? Iâll wait for you to get ready, and we can head out and see whatâs up with this village. Besides, wouldnât you rather have company for a bit? There arenât a lot of men Iâve met who would oppose.â
[â˘] â he took her hand in a firm, practiced handshake. âItâs a pleasure to meet you as well, Sonya. Iâm afraid I havenât heard of you, though Iâm sure youâve never heard of me, either.â of course, she has no reason to, even if they happened to be from the same world. he was only recently made a knight captain, after all, and still, he wouldnât expect everyone to know the name of a mere captain.
[â˘] â flynn didnât meet all that many people who were taller than him, especially not beautiful women. he was ever so slightly flustered by the closeness, but held his ground and retained a professional appearance. he... ignored the comment about men not opposing her. âThat sounds like a great idea. We can help each other get our footing.â he nodded, and recalled his time as a fresh recruit in the knights, wandering the halls with his fellows to learn the layout of the barracks. âIf youâll excuse me then, Iâll go inside for just a moment.â he carefully entered the doorway behind her, making sure not to bump into her.
[â˘] â inside his bunk, he saw a change of clothes and a familiar object sitting on his bedâ his sword. he sighed with relief as he picked it up, taking it out of its sheathe for a moment to make sure it was still in good condition before returning it. with no time to waste, he changed into his new clothes, which were much better suited to the cold environment, and went back outside to his new companion. âWell, shall we be off?â
