All I can remember is that it was a pretty typical Friday for me — work, no part-time job afterward, and a home-cooked dinner.
Nothing particularly eventful, but sometimes those quiet, ordinary days are nice too ☁️

16 April 2026:
It was a sunny day, and I had work. I had to leave early, though, because of some prior commitments. Everything went well!
Since I still had some time before my part-time job started, we stopped by a café for a little while and spent some time together before taking different trains.
My part-time job went well too. I remember that during dinner time, one of the kids prepared a meal for me using his toy food because he noticed that I didn’t have anything to eat 😅 It was the cutest thing ever!
15 April 2026:
It was the first day back at my main work area! Everything went as usual from what I can remember. Since I’ve been working there since last year, I’ve already gotten used to how things flow.
I then headed to my evening part-time job. The cherry blossoms around the area were lovely, though they were already about to fall during that time.
While heading home, I spotted someone carrying a Celine Dion tote bag, and it made me so happy! No photo, though, since I don’t take pictures of strangers and post them publicly without their permission. But yes, I love Celine, so it immediately caught my attention.
11-14 April 2026:
11 April
It was a very relaxing day. We had lunch at a café and spent the rest of the day walking around and reading.
12 April
I met up with two friends, one of whom I was meeting for the first time! I really had a pleasant time with them, and we talked about so many things. The food was great as well!
Then I had a hair appointment in the afternoon and spent the rest of the day peacefully at home.
13-14 April
My main work was supposed to start on the 15th, but I had substitute work on the 13th. It went fine from what I can remember. The location was closer than my main work area, so I found myself wishing I had been assigned to that school ~ or at least somewhere nearby ~ instead.
On the 14th, I didn’t accept any substitute work and instead spent the last day of my spring break at home organizing things.
10 April 2026:
The day was long and rainy. First, I had lunch at Hidakaya. I then spent time at a museum featuring Swedish paintings. I really enjoyed learning about the different art pieces and styles by various artists.
In the afternoon, I met up with a friend who was visiting Japan with her husband. We went to an observation deck, wandered around some shopping spots, and had ramen for dinner.
While heading home, I realized I had taken the wrong train. I decided to take it positively and explored the new area for a bit instead. Luckily, there was a bus from that area to mine, so I took it … and I was the only passenger!
A busy yet beautiful day 🌷

8-9 April 2026:
These two days were pretty hectic because of my evening part-time work, so this was the only photo I managed to take.
One of the kids at work really loves Shinobu, and since I love her too - plus I have a pretty good KNY collection at home - I decided to give this to her as a late birthday present. She was very happy!
7 April 2026:
It was a rainy, cloudy day, and I spent lunch alone at Denny’s. I had a temporary session for my part-time job on this day, and since it was in a new area, I felt pretty excited about it.
The session went well, and I really enjoyed the time I spent with the kids. It ended at 17:30, and after that, I just went home and spent time with my family 💖
6 April 2026:
I remember having a part-time job in the evening and feeling completely exhausted.
The first photo was what I had for breakfast, while the second one was for dinner.
5 April 2026:
I don’t remember much about what happened on this day except that we watched Project Hail Mary! We both had a great time, though my husband felt just so-so about it 😅
I really enjoyed it despite it being my second time watching, and I can’t wait to read the book this summer! 📖
4 April 2026:
We had hanami planned with my husband’s former co-workers, but the weather wasn’t cooperating that day. We moved to a nearby indoor facility instead. Despite the sudden change of plans, it didn’t dull our day at all. 🌸
After saying goodbye to the others, my husband and I stopped by a café on our way to the station. Since we rarely go outside our area, we took the opportunity to try a new place for a random café date. It was a cozy spot that served delicious sweets and coffee ☕️🩷

3 April 2026:
This was one of the most memorable days of the year - and even of my life. 🌷
I submitted some documents at the municipal hall, and everything went smoothly ✨
After that, since I still had some time in the afternoon, I went to watch Wicked at the cinema - not just For Good, but both Parts 1 and 2! It was around five hours in total, and sitting that long kind of hurt, but I still really enjoyed it. I’d give it a 4.25/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In the evening, my partner and I went to a Spanish bar near our place, where we enjoyed some drinks and delicious food.
Such a lovely, lovely day 👩❤️👨
1-2 April 2026:
I don’t remember much about the first two days of April, except that I worked part-time both evenings and it was pretty busy, especially on the 2nd, since I had an appointment at the municipal hall the next day and still had to prepare the documents after work.
30-31 March 2026:
My partner came back from his trip and brought me some souvenirs. I mostly stayed at home and did some spring cleaning.
On the 31st, it was pretty much the same, but extra special because my all-time favorite singer, Celine Dion, is finally performing again!! I was such a happy fangirl that day 💖
29 March 2026:
This day was such a busy, sunny one!
I woke up a bit late, so I gave up on my original plan to visit several cherry blossom spots. I had lunch at a nearby restaurant, then headed to my only destination - Chidorigafuchi. It was so crowded, and my energy got drained right away, so I only stayed for about an hour 🙃
After that, I went back to my area and spent some time at a café. In the evening, I had dinner at a Japanese restaurant before heading to the cinema to watch Project Hail Mary!
I enjoyed the movie so much!! Amaze, amaze, amaze!! 👏
28 March 2026:
I originally wanted to spend time at a place in my area because it was opening day, but I knew it would be too crowded. So at the last minute, I decided to go to a zoo instead and just stop by the other place on my way back.
At first, I planned to visit Ichikawa City Zoo to see Punch-kun in person, but the trip would have taken almost four hours round-trip. I woke up a bit late and felt too lazy to travel that far, so I ended up choosing Ueno Zoo instead.
First stop was Ueno Park. The cherry blossoms were mostly in full bloom, and it was crowded.
Then I went to Ueno Zoo. Fortunately, the crowd was manageable despite it being a weekend with good weather. I really enjoyed exploring the entire area for five hours! My feet were sore, but it felt so rewarding to check off almost every spot on the guide map.
Not all of the animals were available for viewing, but overall, I felt happy and satisfied. My favorites were the prairie dogs, otters, and flamingos.
Walking around, seeing the cherry blossoms in full bloom, sipping iced cocoa under them during short breaks, and checking the guide map to see which areas I hadn’t explored yet - all of it made this solo date feel especially lovely, warm, and memorable.
For such a large zoo, the entrance fee is very affordable. This short trip probably deserves its own thread of stories, so I might share some photos next time (or never, if I forget haha).
...
If I'm being honest, though, I'm not a big fan of zoos. I've always believed that animals shouldn't be kept in cages and displayed for people's entertainment. At the same time, I can't deny that visiting one can be a way to learn about animals and how we can coexist with them.
Fortunately, I felt that the animals there were well taken care of, as there were clear measures in place to limit stress and ensure their well-being. There was even a cenotaph honoring the animals that have passed at the zoo.
After my five-hour exploration of Ueno Zoo, I headed to Yurakucho for dinner. It was at a Chinese restaurant whose name I've already forgotten. The food was great, though I found it a little pricey.
After that, it was movie number two.
After the movie, I then headed to that area I mentioned previously to check it out briefly before calling it a day, but l ended up going to a cafe and a bookstore and stayed there until closing time.
I’m so happy there’s finally a cinema near my place. I’ve been waiting for this!!!
Day 3 was crazy busy, but I really had a great time.

27 March 2026:
Day 2!
I met up with my ex-roomie 👯♀️
We met in Harajuku and had sushi together. After that, we wandered around the area - Takeshita Street, a Harry Potter store, a phone shop, and Uniqlo.
Hippogriff…
We also treated ourselves to some sweets! I got a mango shake, and we spent a little time at a cozy rooftop where we had a really nice view of Harajuku.
It was time well spent. I only get to see her once or twice a year because of our busy schedules, so I was really happy we got to meet again
After our meeting, my quiet little season of solitude began <3
I went to a bookstore, bought two books, and watched a movie in the evening.
Day 2 was a busy, lovely day...
26 March 2026:
My partner was away on a personal trip for five days (26–30), so I spent most of my time alone. It turned out to be such a lovely, peaceful time.
It was the last day of my part-time job for this month, so as planned, I treated myself to a special meal. I had udon last month, so I originally wanted to try a different place. But since I was so tired from my shift, I ended up going back to the same shop as it was the closest to the station - this time ordering a large serving and adding a side dish.
Warm, happy belly ⭐️
I ended up falling asleep around 1:30 since I was so full and couldn’t drift off right away. It was the first time in forever that I “doomscrolled” through IG reels 🙈 It didn’t feel very productive, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to do it once in a while 😄
