and most of all i think that what i like best is the unsaid parts, as someone who's getting a degree in literature, I will never ever ever forget about the inner worlds of people. Like, take Rory, yes we know that she feels the pressure to be perfect, but how does she face it? what does her conscience sound like? how about her anxiety? and what about the first time Dean said I love you? she didn't say it back and said something along the lines of 'think about it from where i'm standing, with my mom and dad..' and like, YES! LETS! I want to know all about it. Or like Emily and Richard? that 'your mother couldn't get out of bed for a moth, did you know that?' I mean. I think this show is perfect (at least the firat few seasons, then we all know that it goes downhill) because it lays the groundwork for a full life that has depth. I don't know man, i just love it
