The egg you see is real. The story behind this picture is not very happy though. The other day, I found something that seemed to be a forgotten easter egg in front of our mailbox. I poked it with a stick I was using to remove dog crap from my shoes after a walk in the nearby forest (please, people, clean it up even if your dog did it in nature, thankyouverymuch). The egg broke, which surprised me. First I thought it was an egg stolen from a nest by another bird which left it there. But then I payed attention to the large homp of moss next to it. I turned it over and two more eggs fell out.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ The neighbour was breaking down his mailbox which was constructed with a lot of large stones lying loose so I think the nest was made in there and fell out during the deconstruction. I took the two eggs and found them perfectly suited for this kind of image. I did some research and found out that it's the egg of a Great Tit, which is living here in our gardens. So it gave me a double feeling. I love the shape of the eggs, they're perfect and beautiful. Great for this kind of image. But I like these Great Tits very much so this is another nest without newlings...⠀

This is a scene I had in mind for a long time now. I had to search for every piece as the children took all the minifigs apart. It took a long time before I found the last part. The shield. ⠀ ⠀ When I finally got it, I went outside and got some of the stones my youngest collects for some reason. Every hike we do, she takes one home. Most of the time they're large, but we have some smaller ones in our collection as well 😄⠀ ⠀ Using the smallest stones I could find, some sand and very small branches, the camp fire was created. I took the pictures and when I came back inside, I found out that I forgot to use the shield 🙈 Ahh well.⠀

The idea came up during diner in 2020. Corona-weekend meant that the children are allowed a little more than usual. The oldest daughter found some Fanta in the cupboard. She wanted to try it while I thought she doesn't even like it. But then this meme came into my mind. My first idea was to create a sea with a real Fanta bottle or beverage can. But we didn't have any left - we hardly drink soft drinks here - so I had to come up with something different...⠀
