Did Pontius Pilate really exist? Yes!

🤍 He did and we have concrete evidence because of the “Pilate Stone” — a limestone plaque discovered in 1961!

🤍 The inscription tells of a Prefect of Judea and that his name was Pilate! It also comes from the period the Gospels talk about ♡

🤍 Other information about Pilate: he’s mentioned by the Roman historian Tacitus (Tacitus’s ‘Annals’, early 2nd century; he simply says he put Jesus to death)

🤍 And also by Flavius Josephus and Philo of Alexandria!

Hello!! I feel like I’m not quite understanding the question, but I have met many people here who are kind and wonderful!!

So that is why I am here :D

It is not at times the friendliest site (The mean asks or unkind comments etc ;-; That happens for everyone even me . . true!)

There are people who send asks that make me smile though! Nice, sweet, funny and thoughtful people!! People I am happy to see around, and I like everyone who interacts with or follows me here and such hehe :D

Cause it’s fun to share things, learn, and brighten our days together!!

We are all different, but we respect each other and appreciate each other and that’s just nifty I think!! 🤍🤍

The people around us are more unique, fun, and warm hearted than we often imagine if you’re willing to reach out and listen after all! (Well I have often found this to be true)

Dear friend 🤍

Thank you for your condolences . . This is genuinely so thoughtful of you and appreciated greatly 🤍 I’m sorry I put off answering this for a while! Honestly, I think I just couldn’t . .

The past years I was my father’s caregiver; he’d had Parkinson’s disease since his 30’s! A very long time . . I cannot describe the tears, struggles or heartache of the past years as he got sicker (His passing was not a peaceful one sadly, and if I think about it I cry, but indeed I was there and held his hand . . thank you for saying it might have been a comfort to him)

My father kept his faith through it all though; he smiled, always thanked my sister’s and I for taking care of him, and trusted in the Lord! He never complained or expressed anger at the way life had turned out, you know that? He always maintained gratitude, patience, and love even as the disease advanced . . we’d watch shows together and (even if he struggled speaking and the disease gave him Lewy body dementia) he still remembered quite a few facts and faces! He’d laugh and always find something to comment on (My father was a brilliant man with an intelligent mind and after all this he still remained so sharp!)

He said I made the best grilled cheese and he loved watching my dogs play! I would read to him from the Bible or from books (‘The Secret Garden’ or other classics)

I would try to pick out nice outfits for him and I still baked him brownies which were his favorite! He was able to receive home care and he passed away in the house he loved so much 🤍 At his funeral, all of his old employees showed up! My father was worked in management, and every single one of them cried and spoke of his generous nature and how he changed their lives and treated them all with such warmth, respect, and kindness . .

I’m sorry if that was too long! I haven’t spoken of this much and likely won’t more, but if I’m going to speak of and remember him . . this is what I do 🤍

Just . . the person he was, the love he had, and the ways the Lord was still there for us through it all, if that makes sense? I miss him so much it hurts, but I’m still so proud to have been his daughter!!! I will see him again with our Heavenly Father, and on that day “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more ‘death’ or mourning or crying from pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4 . . Hallelujah Jesus has conquered the grave and has victory over death!!)

I am so grateful to you for reaching out! (It makes me happy to see people who care for me, but you know I care for all my friends here, too!) So are you well? How have you been all this time?? Anything nice happen to you or are you in a difficult season? Whichever it is I pray for your comfort, safety, and joy, my friend :D

Truthfully though, my health has still not been good!

But that is ok because the Lord is with me . . and I say that with much seriousness!

My life is in the hands of my Father, and His hands are trustworthy and perfect! (To think the same hands that made the oceans and stars care for me . . how tender is our Lord??)

It is funny, because when I was younger I used to wonder how Paul, while chained to a Roman soldier, knowing that his life might soon be “poured out like a drink offering” (Phil. 2:17 — meaning it would end) could say, “I am glad and rejoice with all of you”

Yet I am also glad and truly rejoice with all of you here 🤍

I have so many kind friends showing such care and concern for me, and each day I wake up with my pugs knowing I have far more than I deserve! (I have a home, clean water, a warm bed 🤍 I feel very grateful and if my race were to end — I ran it until the end and am simply excited to see my Lord :’) Not to be a downer or anything it’s just true!)

Enough of me though!! What of you?? Have you taken any trips?? Do something fun with your friends, family or pets?? Any good news?? I’m sure you must have something wonderful to share and I would love to hear it :D

It has been some time since I was able to sit and speak so I’m sorry for getting to this so late :’)

I do not post such photos anywhere though . . but I do have many photos of my pugs and things I bake!!! And those are much much better hehe :D

If you want to know about me . . I am doing much better!!! I have a new bible study, I highlighted my hair again (contemplating dying the ends lavender . . I’m not sure . . ), and I went to Disneyworld recently for the flower and garden thing and had lots of fun :D

(It is too bad we cannot all go together, you know?? I could learn if my friends here are magic kingdom lovers or more animal kingdom or Epcot or Hollywood studios and what rides and stuff everyone loves oh my gosh that would be sooo fun!!!)

I am sorry for my absence! There are many kind friends here I know, and I hope I haven’t worried anyone! I would never wish to do so :3

After my father passed away life became both very fast and very slow somehow (the funeral seemed to go by in a blur) My mother does not have good health either so I have been helping her with some work around her house!

(Though I also do not have good health and almost ended up in the ER again helping fix her storage shed in the heat — not my finest hour but by the grace of God it was finished!!)

Oh! And I have also been taking care of my new pug puppy Noelle 🤍

(She had some health trouble at first, but she is now a very happy and energetic puppy! She is small and has a very soft black coat — maybe I can share some pictures)

How are you? I pray that you have been well, too, and thank you for thinking of me so! It warms my heart to see such consideration and this was truly kind of you :D
