Looping a new song I just started writing. Super catchy right? It sounds like something I've heard but nothing is coming to mind. Same chord progression as Cornershop's 1997 smash hit single "Brimful of Asha"...why? Because it works. I-V-IV is the PHS...the Progression of Hit Songs. Sing anything over it and it will fit. This is Harley. We met about a 45 min ago when I was driving down Mormon Trek and spotted him trying to play dodgeball with the cars in 4 lanes of traffic. I pulled my van onto the sidewalk, called him over, and right over he came. I checked out his name tag and he had both an address and a number, so I knew he belonged to somewhat who was missing him. I threw him in the van and, 2 dog treats and 59 kisses later, was able to get him back to his owner. It's the little things in life.

By virtue of rediscovering a lost passion, I made a life-changing decision about 2 1/2 years ago by picking back up the guitar that I was so insistent on selling just months prior. Ephemeral stint? I think not.

Sometimes even the small things can change someone's day...if you're having a rough day/week/year/life, this one's for you!

I was doing some thinking about social media and what it really does for us, and I came to a conclusion. As useful as it is to communicate, market, pass time, etc., there's an underlying phenomenon taking place that can be difficult to acknowledge. I came to the realization that social media might not be all that great for self esteem. After all, everyone just posts about the coolest, most recent aspects of their lives and I think what it can really do at times is make one feel as though others are living "better" than they are. Specifically with Instagram, seeing others' pictures can often make it seem like others live more interesting lives than you. Just remember that 73.2% of the reason most people post is a result of their boredom. I'm not entirely sure on that figure above but my heart tells me it's somewhat accurate. Anyhow, just remember...you're not that boring and your life isn't any less important than those who are drawing in 100 likes per #starbucks picture they post. Think about it.
