I’m starting a 365-day photo project. It’s simple. From this day forward, I will create one photograph, each day, for an entire year.
A project of this sort is something I’ve been contemplating for a while now, but I only recently convinced myself to stop making excuses and begin this thing at once. I was reluctant at first because I didn’t feel like I’d be able to fully commit myself to a project of this size due to my busy and unpredictable schedule. But now I understand that it’s not about finding or making the time, but about making this a part of my life. It’s like Alan Watts once said, “The only way to understand the world around us is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” I need to make the most out of myself so I can make the most out of the world around me.
My primary purpose for embarking on this journey is self-improvement. These photographs will not follow any particular genre or theme, so expect a variety of content. I intend for this project to be a visual representation of my feelings, thoughts, and life as it happens, but most importantly, I want to be able to look back and remember every day. So, with that said, here goes nothing!
