I enjoy dfo but some of the theorist here are kind of embarrassing. they go on about how afo is actually a big old softie and wants only thing for his family when their is no evidence for such claims. afo is a cruel man and not even yoichi was enough to make him stop his evil plans. and they want us to believe that he is willing to give up everything for his son? it's funny how they're trying to cope by saying afo is going to sacrifice himself for izuku in the end. they have bad comprehension skills and then they're going get a bit upset at the author for not putting soft dfo in the story despite their being no hints for a good dfo. he didn't bother developing a relationship with his son so I doubt he cares but good luck telling them that. im sure you can guess who I am referring too here

Hello, anon. I share your point of view - to me AFO is as despicable as he can get (and he is still one of my favourite characters here LMAOOO). That he did to Yoichi and literally everyone else in the series speaks volumes. This dude says that he is there for suffering of everyone lol. (also his incestuous tendencies oh god)

Although I wouldn't be mean to other people. Yes, it's funny to me how some people characterize him as softie, but they can do that, yk? It doesn't mean they have bad comprehension skills. There are tons of media there you get sudden plot twists, and characters from different fandoms which you see as identical suddenly are completely opposite in the end of the story.

I remember Hordak in She-ra - he became softiiieeeee in the end. A lot of villains became softiiiieesss in the end there actually

So who knows? Maybe these people are right and Horikoshi will reveal AFO as big ol' softie who is misunderstood by everyone. Though I don't see that happening. Right now we can only guess who is wrong here 😂 I'll root for him being sickening till the very end.
