she actually smiles as he asks that question.   sam plops herself down on the bench,   before answering.   she looks up at him with a smile.   "  everyday.   i actually fantasize about running away sometimes.   or i guess it would just be called leaving when youâre twenty-one.  "   a laugh escapes.   "  but i donât think i could keep myself going for long.   moneyâs a thing, unfortunately.  â    she listens intently as he describes the bits   &   pieces of his life to her.   sam's intrigued from the moment he admits to being irish.   â  iâm half irish!   i know that sounds lame,   but itâs one of those things you canât help but point out.  â    â  what kind of jobs?  â  she asks before taking it upon her to nose around the bag of snacks.  she pulls out a piece of beef jerky.    â  iâm stealing this by the way.   itâs the only thing in the bag i can eat.  â    which was true.   she really didnât see any other snack that wouldnât make her diabetes want to kill her.   â  â   diabetic,  â   she explains with a shrug as she takes a bite.  â  donât worry.   i did it to myself.   i used to be really, really fat,  â  she says with a loud laugh.
âHey, you never know. Someday, you could make your big break, you know? -- Get out there. See the world. Donât give up on that.â  He knows his words may not be all that reassuring, especially since they had just met, but he knew how it felt to want to see the world but be unable to. It was never an option when he was a human; he had to stay and support his family -- and he died before he could really do much with his life at all. It was sad, but when it came down to it, he did get to see the world -- even if it happened in a way he wasnât expecting. Sure, her situation wouldnât be as drastic -- probably -- but he would hate to see someone that he could tell was so bright to give up on a fantasy because of âreality.â Just because things were tough currently didnât mean they would always be, that was for certain.
âHalf Irish is still Irish!â  He laughs; after all, itâs Irish culture to welcome in just about anyone to the family -- even if they only had the slightest bit of Irish in them. Of course, he met many non-Irish people in his time during wartime, but they still welcomed everyone with open arms. It was just how they were.Â
âWell, I havenât found anything here yet.â  Orias isnât lying about this part either. Heâd taken plenty of odd jobs to occupy as his time, when he wasnât in Hell running Terrena Inferni. He liked to feel human, after all.   âBut in other places, Iâve done just about everything. Construction, waitering... Even plumbing. Hated plumbing.â
He gives her a nod as he lets her take the jerky, and he pulls a bag of skittles out for himself.   âYouâre lucky I like you. I donât usually share my jerky with anyone. Itâs... practically sacred.â  Rich, coming from a demon.   âWe can always go get more snacks that you can eat. Or we can just go out to get something later. Up to you.âÂ

â  donât get me wrong,  â  she says after a moment.   "  this place is beautiful.   itâs a great place to live.   but itâs  ⌠  suffocating to me.   like  ⌠  you could point me out to a random person on the street,   &  thereâs probably a 95% chance that they know me or have at least heard about me, you know?   itâs just  ⌠  tiring.   everyone expects you to be one way,   &   it makes it impossible to be anything else.  â    a deep breath has taken as she sees the park entrance nearing.   when she gets there, she swings the gate open,   &   some of the squirrels scatter amongst the trees.   she points to the bench in the corner of the park.   â  thatâs my favorite seat,  â  she says almost excitedly.   â  mostly because itâs well shaded  &  i hate the heat,   &  it s just in the corner.   no one will bother me.  â    she finally gets back to his last part & laughs.   â  everyone lives near by.   youâre not freaking me out, i promise.   i actually live on the outskirts, though.   little bit more than walking distance.   from work, at least.   â   iâve been taking way too much,   i want to hear more about you.   â
âYou ever thought about leaving someday? -- I used to live in a small town. I know how it can be.â  It was true -- long ago, he had lived in a small town in Ireland, and it was most definitely suffocating. Of course, he didnât leave in a normal way -- far from it, actually -- but his travels, even after death, have been interesting. Liberating, even .. in a weird way, given the circumstances.
He lets out a laugh as Samantha describes her favorite seat; itâs needless to say he can relate to what sheâs saying -- he was always one to keep to himself as well, after all. Especially now, which was why it was odd that he was even talking to her in the first place.  ---  Odd, but not unwelcome.Â
âLetâs sit there, then. I like that.â  Giving her a smile, he begins to head over to the bench. When the focus is directed onto him, he gets a bit uncomfortable, if only inwardly, but he proceeds to give her whatever he can, without being mysteriously vague.   âI like hearing about you. -- Me? There really isnât much. Uh... I was born in Ireland, but Iâve been here for...â  A pause.   âItâs been a long time, I can tell you that.â  Itâs fitting, as his vessel doesnât have an Irish accent by any means. His name, however, is extremely Irish.   âI travel around a lot now. Take odd jobs. I always wanted to travel, and now I can, so... I took the opportunity.âÂ
southrncharm¡.
â  then youâre a little lucky, daniel,  â  she says, adding emphasis on his name as she starts on the sidewalk,   heading towards where the park is.   "  i know this damn town like the back of my hand.   never really went too far from it either.  âÂ
sam kicks a rock on the ground   &  watches as it goes flying.   after a moment, she looks up at him,   giving a shy smile.   â  so,  â   she starts.   â  if youâre not from around here,   then what brought you here?   please donât say tourism,   thatâs lame.  â
He walks along beside her, swinging the bag of snacks a bit as they head towards their destination. Orias lets out a laugh as she calls the âtourismâ claim lame, as that was his go-to answer. Still, the last thing he wants to do is come off as lame, so he thinks up another answer -- which isnât entirely false.  âA friend recommended I come through. Itâs a nice place, but I just got here, so... Yeah.â  He gives her a smile and a shrug. Sydney had mentioned that long ago, she had family here. But they were long gone.   âSo, Iâm guessing you live nearby. I donât know how big this place is, though. Not trying to be weird, I swear.â  Nice.
southrncharm¡.Â
sheâs taken just a little bit by surprise.   sam had been a hundred percent sure that this guy was going to think that she was a hopeless nerd.   finally, she looked up to meet his eyes again,   her two front teeth sinking into her bottom lip.   "  alright.   let me go clock out real quick.   thereâs a park within walking distance.  â  Â
as nervous as a person as she could be   (  &  quite submissive  )  she wasnât stupid enough to let a complete stranger take her just anywhere.  a couple minutes later,   she strolls back from the time clock.  samâs taken off the uniform shirt,   leaving her just in the undershirt underneath.   â  alright.   but, before we go anywhere  ⌠ you know my name.  i donât know yours.  â   she says as she walks towards the doors.
Itâs almost like heâs a human again -- heâs excited at the thought of being able to go out with someone, and for a moment, he really does feel human. However, he snaps out of that as Samantha asks for his name. He canât tell her his real name; no, no one was named Orias -- so he uses his human name, one he hadnât said in many, many years.  âDaniel. Daniel OâToole.â  He nods his head as he sticks his hand out to shake; despite how smoothly he had been talking before, when sheâs so close to him, heâs a bit of his awkward, bumbling self again. It was an appropriate time for a handshake, right? He is also relieved that she seems to be on the same page as him location-wise. The last thing he needed was an awkward interaction about where they were headed. --- Thank goodness she had said something.  âLead the way. Iâm not from around here, so I donât know any hotspots.âÂ

well, that had not been an answer she was expecting.   was he being serious?   even if he wasnât being serious,   her fellow associates, especially the ones that were her friends all were staring now,   having heard the comment.     a blush covered her face as she accepted the money,   opening the till & retrieving his change.   what was she supposed to say?   she wasnât smooth or flirtatious.   she was just too insecure to throw herself out there like that.   but it seems like one of her co-workers was beating her to the point.   "  i was just about to block her off!  â  sophie says excitedly.  â  sheâll be off in like five minutes!  â     the light blush turned into a full on red hue from samâs prospective.  â  iâm so sorry about her,   sheâs just  ⌠ sheâs a pit pushy!   "  she says the last word loudly so that the giggling sophie could hear as she walks away.   she steps out from behind her register.   â  seriously, iâm sorry, they all just  ⌠  they all are kind of ready to like  ⌠ ugh, this is super weird,   iâm really sorry.  â      she turns towards the items,   bagging them for him,   blushing rather hotly.   she was really never going to be able to look him in the eye again,   &   thatâs proven when she goes to hand him the bags   &  her eyes stay downward.
âFive minutes? Okay, I can wait.â  He lets out a chuckle, turning to the girl who had revealed that she was about to block Samantha off in order to give her a thumbs-up. The demon takes the bags from her, a smile still very present on his face. It wasnât often he flirted with people -- in fact, he couldnât even remember the last time he did -- but there was something about this girl that simply compelled him to. Sure, it had started off as a joke, but now Orias really did want to hang out with her; maybe not at âhisâ meatsuitâs house -- because that would probably be weird -- but perhaps in a park or something. It was a nice night out, and he might as well share his junk food with someone who seems appreciative of his tastes.     âNo, donât apologize. I kinda .. wasnât kidding. If youâre up for hanging out after this, I mean. --- If youâre not, I was totally and completely kidding.âÂ

â  this  ⌠  this looks like a hell of a night   ââ   what time should i be over?  â  she says with a laugh as she scans the endless amounts of junk food that the young man had put on the belt.   a smile adorns her face,   itâs easy to see that sheâs joking.   her name tag reads:   samantha, customer service leader.   one could probably tell that was her position by the way that sheâs a lot more cheerful than the other sulking teenagers that surround her on the other registers.     samâs eyes flit to his face for the first time   &   sheâs a little taken aback.   heâs   ⌠  handsome.   wow.   she clears her throat.   "  your total  ⌠  itâs um.  ⌠  $15.22.  â
Sure, demons didnât have to eat -- but that didnât mean he didnât like to. Orias had a soft spot for snacks, and it was quite evident as he was standing on the checkout line and the cute cashier made a comment on his selection. A hand moves upwards to ruffle brunet locks, letting out a chuckle as he hands her the money.Â
âWhat time should you come over? Well, Samantha, that depends on when you get off work.âÂ

Sheâd been laying in wait in the shared home of Orias and Blue. It was funny that Blue was popular enough that she bounced between the Winchester bunker and here. But to be honest, Astra wasnât giving it much more thought. She was ready to start making demands. In her hand was something much adored by both parties of this sweet couple⌠a baby blue beanie. She tossed it and played with it between two fingers.
When she heard the door open, she smirks. At the close, she makes her presence know almost instantly. âSo youâre the one thatâs supposed to lead hell next? What a joke.â
He freezes as he makes his way inside and sees -- instead of Blue -- a stranger, who is gripping one of their most beloved possessions. The demonâs eyes immediately flicker black, teeth gritting together. The womanâs voice is taunting. Sheâs most certainly a demon, Orias really doesnât have a doubt in his mind about that. --- But he doesnât recognize her.Â
âWhat did you do with her?â He practically growls out the question, fists clenching as he steps closer. âYou have five seconds.âÂ

Murmurâs jaw clenches when she runs, but before long, a smile is on his face, lighting up his face⌠quite sadistically. He follows her. This was the reaction he wanted the whole time.
âCome on, Eden,â he calls throughout the hallway. He already knew where he was going. âI wanted to show you something. When he gets to the doorway of Eden & Deanâs room, he stops. Heâs not foolish enough to go in yet. Eden was too smart to underestimate. Instead, he pulls something out of his jacket pocketâŚ. Blueâs orb. With one quick haste, he shatters it on the floor.
âI hate to break it to you, cupcake, but I really do hope you got your last goodbyes in to Blue. I gotta tell you, she put up a fight, but where she is, thereâs no coming back.â
He takes a small step inside. âWe both know youâre waiting somewhere to attack me. So go on, make your move. But, Iâve got about five demons waiting outside the bunker door. And they donât like you as much as I do.â
Dammit. He isnât falling for it.
Perhaps they had encountered each other one too many times. Murmur knows sheâs smart, and in a way -- thatâs both his advantage and his disadvantage. It was a battle of wits at this point, but seeing as Murmur had backup and she didnât, Eden was at the disadvantage now. She couldnât stay that way.
The brunette lets out a deep breath, hand gripping her dagger as she glances down at it. Sheâs about to take another risk, one there really isnât any turning back from if it goes one way, but it could work. At the end of the day, it could possibly get her to where she needs to go. With either outcome.Â
The hunter steps far away enough from the door that Murmur canât reach in and grab her, but close enough where she has a view of him.Â
âHey, asshole.âÂ
She raises her knife up to her chest, pointing the blade inwards. Her eyes are narrowed, challenging him. If heâs smart, heâll know she isnât messing around.
âIf you donât take me to her, Iâll get to her myself. And you know how.âÂ
She had some connections down below, that should say enough.Â

âWell, baby, it was ringing off the hook!â He says, faking worry. âI was worried. You were gone. What else was I supposed to do? â Why does Sam matter? Heâs probably running around looking at some lore.â
Murmur dismisses that and tilts his head to the side. âIs everything okay? Is Blue okay? â Maybe, just maybe, you should check her room.â
Thatâs when he starts pulling the facade apart. It was truly time to let the fear creep it. It was amazing what people did when they were scared. But by this time, his partner in crime should be addressing Orias elsewhere. It really was time to get this game going.Â
âAlthough, I did get myself hurt earlier, baby, I was hoping you could take a look at this cut,â Murmur says, standing, stalking closer and closer to her. He lifts up his shirt and reveals the broken anti-possession tattoo. âWhatâs your diagnosis?âÂ
Her teeth clench together as he speaks. The more he talks, the less he sounds like Dean... and the more he sounds like -- No. It was impossible.
But as he lifts his shirt up to reveal his slashed anti-possession tattoo, Eden knows exactly who she is dealing with. There was only one demon who would go to these lengths to deceive her -- in such a sadistic way.Â
Murmur.
âYou fucking bastard.âÂ
She scans the room for something she can use as a weapon -- something that wonât hurt Dean too badly, but something that could slow the demon down. She had to get the hell out of there before it was too late -- she had to find Orias.Â
If Blue was in danger, which she clearly was, so was he. And she didnât have much time left. ------------ Who knew? She couldâve been too late already, but that wouldnât stop her from trying.
She has a blessed dagger tucked in her boot, but she doesnât want to use that. Itâs a risk, but Eden decides she has to lure Murmur into her room. She has holy water there -- hidden away somewhere Dean doesnât even know. Just in case the demon ever came back.Â
It actually works in her favor that she dropped her phone, considering the both of them knew the second closest phone was in Dean and Edenâs room. The brunette jumps to her feet, making a run for it as fast as she can -- she sprints down the hallway.Â
The plan? Get into her room, grab the holy water, throw it on Murmur so he flinches, and then make a real run for it.Â
It was another gamble, but it was one she was willing to take. After all, she was pretty sure Murmur wouldnât kill her, but in the event he tried to, she was even more sure that Dean would do everything in his power to stop him, even whilst possessed. Itâd buy her more time.Â

The attention he was getting from her lips was nice. But not nice enough to completely distract him. He pulled it out of his jacket pocket, and handed it to her. âHere. I just missed the last one. I thought just in case it was nothing, Iâd let you handle it. It might just be girl drama. You know how Blue and O can get sometimes. A little dramatic.â
However, when heâd dragged Blue out of her room kicking and screaming⌠that had been a little more dramatic. He almost wants to urge her to go take a look at the other girls room. How it was trashed, several things that point to that fact that there was a struggle⌠but not for long.
Murmur couldnât wait for this game to begin. âDid she leave any voicemails or anything?â
âWell, Orias is a drama queen.â Sheâs joking, of course -- partially. She takes the phone from him, holding it up to her ear once she gets into her voicemail.Â
As the voice announces that she has a missed message, Eden is playing with the collar of Deanâs jacket, but as soon as the sound of Blue screaming sounds over the phone -- she freezes, momentarily, in fear. Her phone then clatters to the floor.Â
âWhy was my phone in your pocket?â She practically throws herself off him now, inching backwards. Her eyes scan the bunker.Â
â--- Whereâs Sam?â She hadnât noticed heâd been missing -- it usually wasnât a big deal, but it was late, and Dean wasnât usually the only one home at this time. Her boots push against the hardwood floor, as she moves herself further and further back.
Something is very wrong. Not just with Blue -- but here.
