I want to run away.

I want to go home.

But where should I go,

If I’m already at home?

I want to run away—

To silence all my thoughts,

Because of their heavy weight,

That I feel lying on my soul.

I want to run away.

I scroll, I read, I clean my room,

Just to keep my mind busy,

So I won’t have time to think,

To stress,

To even consider.

I want to run away—

From loudness,

From everything.

But am I able to find the way?

To even just start running?

I guess I am not.

I can’t move.

Not because I am weak.

But because—

How can I start running,

If a person can never run away from themself?
