…only to get a concussion and possible perforated eardrum during the first full week of the school year.

Now it’s medically advised I not look at screens (where all my WIPs are), limit my time reading (paperbacks, Kindle and AO3) and I’m supposed to ‘rest’. What does that even mean?! My ADHD C-PTSD brain does not comprehend.

I have ideas, I want to be able to play with them…but right now walking is semi-dangerous.

I cannot do it with the doomerism right now. Things are really really bad. But no we are not at 1933 Germany level. Hitler was arresting torture and executing his political enemies. The closet we have to that is DOGE trying to use it power to fire people that opposed Trump or part of departments they don’t like and they aren’t managing to 100% do that. A lot of the employees are even being reinstated. Obviously this is still really bad and needs to be treated seriously. Obviously trying to replace branches of government with only loyalist is horrific. Part of how we get to normalizing arresting political opponents is normalizing what’s happening now. But I keep on hearing about trying to fight in courts and doomers lambasting that because you couldn’t stop Hitler with the courts. I also heard wild speculation about how calling your representatives is going to get you on the list and how you shouldn’t speak out anymore or you are going to die. And I’m going to need everyone saying that to get some perspective. We have a very corrupt fascist president and he’s going to try all he can to further corrupt this government. But we still have a lot of freedoms ,privileges and ways to fight back in this country that a lot of people are taking for granted

The Nazis weren't hiding from the public out of fear of sustained backlash, outrage, and protests the way Republicans are hiding from their constituents. The Nazis weren't nervously reaching out to re-hire some government workers they'd tried to purge. The Nazis weren't losing lawsuits constantly in court brought by attorneys general and non-profit agencies. There was no equivalent to the Democratic Party that was freely and constantly sounding the alarm to the public on all the fucked up shit Nazis were doing once they were in power, and personally insulting Hitler and other key figures and not getting arrested for it (see someone like Jasmine Crockett calling Trump "Putin's hoe"). The Nazis weren't immediately backing off from some of their most unpopular policies because they crumbled under public pressure. People weren't free in Nazi Germany to openly say they wanted Hitler to drop dead on the toilet the way people say that with Trump.

Reality is bad enough, so there's no need to misrepresent how bad things actually currently are.
