target panic

"Yeah, just a–" He fumbles around for a second before pulling out a dagger. "This."

He takes out his own celestial bronze dagger. "Me too. We need to find more arrows."

Eli watches him in disbelief. When he starts climbing and invites her to do the same,she lets out a sigh and then follows him, struggling to do what he makes look so easy. “All this fucking running and climbing,” she mutters to herself. “I swear to gods, I’m a fucking circus animal.”

After climbing up several stories, Brayan makes his way across the roof to the edge so he can look out at area where he saw the minor god. Then he looks back at Elise. "If we jump these two roofs, we can avoid him."

Jesse starts to scramble away when he sees movement beside him, but falls still once he focuses enough to see who it is. He swallows before he speaks. “Same.”

"Do you have any other weapons?" he asks.

Eli pants as she’s pulled into the alleyway. She looks behind her and then back at Brayan. “Wha— What is it?”

"There is a minor god out there. We need to find another way around." He looks up at the building to his left and climbs on top of a dumpster up against it.Then he leaps and grabs the end of the emergency escape ladder, forcing it to fall down to street level. "Let's go." He starts climbing.

Elise watches him and then runs when he does. She’s not as fast as he is and tires quickly, slowing her pace unintentionally. 

He sees a (very) minor god on Olympus' side stalking the streets in the distance and looks back to see where Elise is. "Enemy," he whispers loudly. Noticing that she's fallen behind, he runs back toward her and pulls her into an alleyway between two vintage clothing shops. 

She looks around and then sighs, resting her head against the car. “I’m going with you,” she finally says.

"Good." He collapses his bow and puts it in the holster on his back before he takes out a celestial bronze dagger. Then he peeks around the car and starts running.

Elise breathes hard and shrugs. “I don’t know what to tell you, dude. Can’t you, like, pull one out of your ass?”

He doesn't respond to her question, only side-eyes her. "I need to head back to the weapons cache at 2nd and East 9th Street."

[hums and starts to look around the suite trying to read him by what he has laying around as she waits for him to make a move]

"Can I show you something?" he asks after he walks to her and he moves some hair off her shoulder.

"Always."

"That's unfortunate."

She looks around the large common room, distracted by how ostentatious the room was, then returns her attention to Brayan starts to talk again and  watches him closely.  Truthfully, Brayan intimidates her just a little bit.  “Help me personally?”

"Yes. I can help you adjust to living here."

Oh? [rolls her eyes and walks back to him then pulls him inside with her]

He lets the door close behind him and then sweeps his arm out across the living room area of the suite. "This is it. And my room is that one." He points to a door behind her. 

She watches his hand on her forearm and then looks back at him. “Any skin contact.”

He pulls his hand away, feeling afraid again. "Always? Or are you able to turn it off?"

Isabelle watches his face carefully as their hands touch. “Do you feel it?”

He instinctively takes his hand away from hers out of fear. "I do. Impressive." Then he slides his hand up her forearm. "Does it work with any skin contact or just your hand?"
