*slides back in here* so uh. Idk if my muse is coming back but hello. I miss this account. Alsoihearditwaskissagingerday
Ahah- long time, no see? ||PSA
Wow itâs been a long time since I was here. Sorry for just disappearing; however, after my leaving CDRP, my muse for Merida just sort of died off. In fact, sheâs still gone, but I figured I owed you guys at least a post.Â
As of now, this blog is on idefinite hiatus. While I donât foresee Meridaâs muse coming back to me, I did have her for three years; I very well might pop in every now and again.Â
But for now, if you need to find me you can check my other blogs:Â
Coraline Jones: stxtchedwithadventure
Alice Liddell: delusional-beauty-aliceâ and ive-only-my-witsâ
Elizabeth Liddell: thealwaysopenheart
Sorry again for the disappearance, guys! ;;
donât mind me iâm just accidentally unfollowing people good lord ;~;

It had been a long day.
Not necessarily in the sense that the day had been completely unwanted.  Yes, she was thrown off of Angus at one point because something startled him. Yes, she lost five of her arrows (probably for good). Yes, she did scrap up her knees when she was rock climbing today from a stupid miscalculation  of where to put her hand.
But though her body ached and hurt from some of these things, there had been many things worth the experience. Merida knew every inch of the Highlands by her kingdom. But she had not attempted to climb certain rocks until today, or try  to lead Angus up on certain paths. She shot her arrows onto targets that normally  sheâd refrain from shooting at. For every thing that had happened that was unpleasant, it was during the act of something so freeing that this whole thing seemed somehow  worth it.
Tired, but smiling, the princess started on her way back to the castle, where a warm bed would be waiting for her. Howeve,r the closer she was to the DunBroch  castle, the more apparent it was to notice a figure off by the gates. Perhaps they  were just looking at the gates. Perhaps they were looking for a space to be for the  night. Merida wasnât sure, but she felt it was something good to find out.
ââŠIs there somethinâ I can help ye with?â she called out to the figure, drawing the hood of her cloak down.

" I don't think ye understand how much I really        do nae want tae to this. At all, honestly. "Â
"Be my Valentine?" ((what can I say- can't refuse a dare~ ;) ))
"âŠ" there was this moment of pause as Hans tried to register what she had just said. One blink, then two, finished with a third right as he was about to say something⊠then he stopped, words stuck in his throat. Was she being serious, or was this some sort of spell she was under?
âOkay⊠who are you trying to avoid now?â
Being the highly trained and charming prince he was, Hans could only come up with one smooth response. âWait, what?â
Surely he was imagining things. Merida was expressing⊠affection for someone else?! Maybe she was playing with him, it was easy enough for her with their history of back and forth.Â
What if she was being genuine though? Her personality was beyond doubt enjoyable (and scary at times) and she was beautiful, in her own haphazardly graceful sort of way, but would he be able to accept her affections even then? Hans Westergard was a man unaccustomed to sincerity in a relationship, though he had gotten better being away from home it seems.
He grit his teeth and regained some of his composure. He had to regain this situation somehow. "Letâs pretend that it was genuineâŠ" He took a step closer, voice lowering just a tad to accommodate the moment. "Is that kind of a relationship something you would be willing to try with me?"
She laughed at his response, though it came off as more of a sheepish laugh than she intended for it to be. In truth, she wasnât sure exactly what had prompted her to do this. Normally, she would have just let things take their course. Wait, observe, and see where things went. She wasn't someone opposed to affection, of course. However, it wasn't common for her to initiate it- especially to someone who wasn't in her family. Plain and simple, romance was not on the list of things that the Scot excelled in.Â
And yet there was just something about the dynamic of their relationship that perhaps enticed her. It didnât have to be a commitment- it could just be to test the waters. Just something simple. Something to at least justify why she was so comfortable around him, even when they were bickering.Â
âPretending it wos genuine," Merida started, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. "Then IâdâŠbe willâ tae try it, aye. Nothinâ set in stone, butâŠ" She gave a bit of a shrug, still trying to maintain her upper hand on the situation.Â
âThot is- if yeâd be willinâ tae try it."Â
"Be my Valentine?" ((what can I say- can't refuse a dare~ ;) ))
"âŠ" there was this moment of pause as Hans tried to register what she had just said. One blink, then two, finished with a third right as he was about to say something⊠then he stopped, words stuck in his throat. Was she being serious, or was this some sort of spell she was under?
âOkay⊠who are you trying to avoid now?â
He was giving her an opportunity to back out. Knowingly or not, that's what Hans was doing and in the whirlwind of everything, Merida was silent as she debated whether to take it or not.Â
It would be easy to come up with an excuse. Their friendship would remain in tact without any sticky business, and she could brush it off as wanting to avoid any of the sons from the other clans.Â
However, she'd let him chose the answer, she decided. Letting herself give a laugh, she raised a playful eyebrow and folded her arms over her chest, cocking one him to the side.Â
"Wot? Ye don't believe it was genuine? Wot would ye prefer I say?"Â
A simple enough retort, she thought. It kept the playful edge, and concealed whatever she felt needed to remain in the dark.Â
Also, I'm...thinking about changing my URL. I mean if I'm doing an overhaul, might as well change the URL to something that isn't also the tag of two other Merida blogs.Â
Any  ideas?Â
Important Update
So, as I'm sure you guys would have guessed by now, this blog is now independent. This doesn't mean I'm not going to interact with people from CDRP- you guys are family! I can't just drop you like a hot potato!Â
However, I am far too busy to hold up a spot in a group. Even before this whole thing of Em, Ally and I stepping away from our mod positions, I was already considering pulling Merida.Â
I'm not online much like I used to be. No point in taking up a spot that someone else could come in an have, right?Â
It was a fantastic run with CDRP- I've been part of it for 3 years (roughly- technically still 8 days out from the mark, but you get what I mean), and Merida has developed so much because of it.Â
I love you all very much- that said, I'm going to do some blog cleaning up when I get home from my math test, and...I think I'm going to drop all threads, save for the one with crazytrustexercise.Â
I'm open to threads though! I just need to clean my palette and try again, ya know?Â

~*~ An Extremely Important Announcement ~*~
Thereâs no easy way to bringing this up, but this post is to inform you all that Bert, Merida, and Mary will be leaving Creative Disney Roleplay as moderators.Â
We would like you to know that the decision was PERSONAL and does not reflect our feelings towards this group or the members personally. The fact of the matter is that we are three mods who have been increasingly busy with our personal lives which unfortunately has meant that our activity as moderators has taken the back burner.Â
Instead of dragging out our time here, doing a poor job, and not being as active as we once were, weâve decided to offer 2-3 people an opportunity to take over in our place.
The new moderators, should any apply, would have complete control over the group to do with as they please. The new moderators would be able to write new rules, keep or get rid of the audition process, and make the group entirely their own if they so choose to.
The new moderators must be people who, during their time here, have proven to us that they are responsible, mature people who will give the group the attention it needs. Even though weâre leaving as mods, weâve put an endless amount of effort and care in to the group and would hate to see it in the hands of someone who doesnât know what theyâre doing.Â
If you are interested in becoming one of the two new moderators for Creative Disney Roleplay, please fill out the below application and submit it to the group. You must be a member of CDRP to submit an application!
Name:Â
Roleplay Experience: (If youâve modded a group before, nowâs a good time to mention it, as well as that groupâs success. Note that just because you mod a group now doesnât necessarily mean youâll be more likely to be picked; weâd like someone who has the time to commit to the group. Also if the group you modded previously is shut down, please say why.)
Time Zone + Availability:Â
Your experience with CDRP:
What do you think it means to be a mod? What qualities do you think a good leader for any group, not just roleplay, needs to have?:
Why you want to be a mod for this group?: Â
If your school / work / life in general is notorious for being very demanding and you know that RP is just a very casual hobby, please THINK before you submit an application! You know yourself better than anyone else does, so if you know that the time you would be able to commit is very limited, it might be better if you remain a member, or go independent.Â
In the event that we receive no applications, or if we donât want to pass the group over to the apps we do receive, we will dissolve the group and the remaining members will be free to create a group of their own design, or none at all.Â
If youâre putting in an application to become a new moderator, you have until Friday, January 30th to submit it.
All roles as of right now are open â if you want to remain a part of Creative Disney through the transition, please send in an ask saying that you wish to keep your spot. This is done so that anyone who wants to leave can leave wordlessly. All asks must be sent by Saturday, January 31st.
Again, please know in your heart that this was by no means an easy decision to make - but we truly believe that this is the best decision for the group, for the members, and for ourselves as mods. We believe that in our current positions, and knowing where we are going in our personal lives, that it would not have been responsible of us to stay as mods when we couldnât give it our all. And us leaving doesnât negate the fact that we had wonderful times and we met so many great people! Weâll say it again and again that all of you were absolute dreams to work with, and we hope that we can all stay in touch even though things are changing around here. This was a very very happy time for us but its just time for us to move on to other things, and it does not mean that we donât love each and every one of you any less.Â
Thank you all very much for your kindness and your patience, and of course, for your wonderful ability to tell stories and to bring your chraracters to life, which is what brought us together in the first place - but it was companionship that made us stick. Please keep these qualities during this strange change, and please continue to express your patience and understanding. This wasnât an easy decision to make but we trust all of you to remain mature about things, and that two of you are going to make wonderful mods. Thank you again, it was a fantastic run!
- Bert (Emily), Merida (Britt), & Mary (Ally)
Super quick, much needed shoutout to Ally, Britt and Em
Thank you. Â So much. Â For all the time, and effort and dedication you have put into this group. You have brought us all together and we can never repay you for that. Â We so appreciate everything youâve done for us, and that youâve given so much of your time to this group. Â
Thank you. Â We love you.
Director Cuddlebundles and the Agents of C.D.R.P.
And thank YOU, my dear darlings, for being a part of CDRP with us. This group has grown more thank I could have ever thought it would when I signed on as a mod over two years ago. Everyone here has been fantastic- and while it is a hard decision to give up the position as a mod, we're doing what we hope to be the best decision for the group.
Thank you guys for all of your support, your love, and for just being you â„

May I say that you're the most beautiful princess of the clan Dunbroch? And Scotland?

ââOops?â Thatâs the best youâve got?â
"No offense, but when you nearly hit somebody with a weapon, you should really think of a better excuse than that."
"Well, it wasnae intentional- and I can tell ye with certaintly that it wos as much a surprise tae me as it wos tae ye."Â
"...I am sorry for it, though. I hardly ever miss, but this wos...obviously a close one."Â
"Us gingers are some of the coolest people around," Anna teased, tossing a braid over her shoulder flippantly.  "Who would be opposed?â she laughed.
Anna bobbed her head in a nod. Â âSounds like a plan to me,â she agreed. Â Her nose scrunched up as she thought of something she hadnât considered yet. Â Elsa. Â She was probably wondering where Anna was, and confused as to where her guest was.
Anna bit her lip, starting in the direction of the palace, looking over her shoulder at Merida.  âMy sister is probably really confused, since weâre both not there,â she said, wincing.  âWe shouldâŠprobably boogie.â
"I'd agree with that," the Scot said with a wink, folding her arms over her chest. "Someone who clearly doesnae realize wot sort o' personality they're missin' out on." Merida gave a laugh, shaking her head.Â
Well, that was one royal she'd made friends with; she was off to a good start, right?Â
"Oh-- rig't. Aye, best we get goin'." While she made a good- and honest- impression on Anna, that didn't mean that her tardiness would be taken well by Elsa. Truth be told, Merida hadn't heard much in the way of the queen's personality, but..surely things couldn't go that bad.Â
