Hailey couldn’t help but let out a quiet laugh at his dramatic state. In all honesty, they were both in the same boat. Her ankles ached just thinking about her next dance class.

“Ice. Lots of it. And crying.” She answered that without skipping a beat, leaning over the other armrest of the couch with a soft groan. Her legs felt like they would snap off any minute.

“But…it’s worth it in the long run, right?”

“Ice for chewing, or ice for bodily harm?” Dumb question, probably. It’s ice for chewing, Rowan, don’t be dumb.

“I’m really surprised at how hard this is on me, man. Like. It’s not hospital-worthy, but it sure as hell feels like it.” He let himself fall back against the couch, a huff of air exiting his lungs.

“Ohhhhh, Hailey, these classes are running me dry this semester.” He spread himself across the couch in his dorm. Sal was back at home for the weekend, so Rowan decided it would be nice for Hailey to stay. “There’s just. So many dance classes. I didn’t even know I had to take this many.”
