Lonely Contemplation

I sit here at 11:09 pm, headphones in my ears, at my art desk with no sense of creativity, no sense of reason, just alone in the lamp light. It’s weird how I once use to find the late evenings one of my more creative times and now I find it melancholy. These artist hands that I can’t seem to free. Fidgeting. Typing. More like tapping, hitting on this pad while I question my sanity. I think I’m lonely. I miss conversations. Laughing.

There are scribbles and sketches on the table. Some I keep going over again and again. There’s an idea there if I can somehow bring it out. I’ve written across one “take more artistic risks”, however I don’t remember why I wrote it on that particular sketch. Some are crossed out with an “X”; some simply have “bad” inked over them. Oh if I could draw the way my mind works.

The worry of never being a successful artist or is it knowing that I’m an artist and knowing I not a successful one. My brain frustrates me.
