It’s so heartwarming to see that Dan and Phil are getting more comfortable expressing affection for each other publicly. I’m specifically talking about the fact that they’re not really doing that pretending-to-hate-each-other thing any more. Like yes obviously the like this guy is so annoying stuff was always and still is a joke and they never meant it maliciously but I can recall too many times in the past where they could only express their admiration of each other, even in a seemingly platonic way, through gritted teeth. Like the whole “I’m grateful for you phill, IS THAT WHAT YOU GUYS WANTED” or the part in the haircut video where I believe Dan says something nice about Phil and how he’s been there for him and Phil is like “we can’t end on that!”
Yet NOW in the latest podcast Dan nonchalantly says “it’s not like you were so amazing you blew the other guys out of the water, I mean, you are, but, etc.” Also Dan said something like “can we get more people inappropriately filming Phil so he can see how beautiful he is”
LIKE IM SO HAPPY FOR THEM THAT THEY DONT HAVE TO WALK EVERY NICE STATEMENT BACK!! That must feel SO refreshing and like a weight of their shoulders and yeah they still do the I can’t believe I’ve committed to do a podcast with you ur a weirdo thing but it’s always said with the biggest smiles on their faces now. It’s very sweet and I’m very happy for them!

hi im sierra, I've been watching dnp since 2018 but haven't been engaged much on social media. i think they're the funniest people and some of the sweetest and the same is true of the fandom! I've had Tumblr for a few years (my main is @moreclaypigeons) but haven't really been involved in phandom here until recently! The hyperfixation has truly taken back over. I am an artist and I draw them on occasion (easiest way to see my art is to go to the #phanart tag on my blog, orrr #dnp on @sierraveree-art), my blog is a lot of reblogs and occasional thoughts/liveblogs. It's really great to be here and meet new people cause before the hard launch I didn't really follow any phlogs (cursed word?) but the joy of Dan and Phil and the community has rejuvenated me

what nonphannies don’t understand is that it isn’t about “knowing” it’s about dnp’s queer joy and comfort level. we’re not happy bc they told us, we’re happy bc they felt comfortable and joyful enough to tell us. “knowing” has a weird power connotation.
