My friends are having an auction to raise money for their trans surgery! These are all items donated and hand made within our quiet community:
"Auction group dedicated to raising funds for essential trans surgeries,not covered by the NHS, for Dory Jane Valentine.
We’re also releasing 3 new tee designs available to preorder for the whole of June. All proceeds will be going towards Dory Jane’s transition costs. Unfortunately the surgery they need isn’t available on the NHS, somewhat ridiculously. On paper GRS is, but only a full vaginioplasty which they have no desire for & are opting to have a much easier, quicker, less invasive operation of an Orchiectomy instead. This will mean they don’t need to keep on taking T blockers for the rest of their life, reducing health risks & saving the NHS money The fact that this cheaper operation isn’t an option on the NHS is complete and utter Trans misogyny and bioessentialism. In our household we’ve been playfully referring to it as Dory’s neuter joy The money raised will pay for surgery, any travel & accommodation costs, recovery costs & laser hair removal. Any money left over will be going directly back into other trans peoples healthcare fundraisers!"
I'm also putting up an illustration commission for the fundraising!
