mae: so, uh... don't judge me but i ate like five churros in a row and i'm feelin icky so... 🥴

mae: i have a sixth one. do you want it?

B: I can't but omg.

Looking down at the shirt she was wearing, she arched one of her eyebrows and then hummed. “Yeah sure. I don’t really see any reason why I would say no to a free coffee” she said and shrugged. She wasn’t the warmest of person, she didn’t really care much about how she acted around people unless it was work. Whenever work was involved, she was professional and polite. “First time someone is drawing me if I am gonna be honest”

“As many free coffee’s as you’d like.” Brandon gave her a smile, turning to a clean page in his sketchbook. “Really? I’m the first ever? Aw, that’s kinda sweet.” He picked up his pencil before setting both items down again. “I’m glad that you’re letting me, we should grab your coffee first though so you’re not sat there all bored and dehydrated.”

“… like what?”, he asked shyly yet curiously. He knew exactly what he was talking about, and he’d be lying if he said it wasn’t the first time someone complimented him on his appearance but it was something he had yet to believe himself, even if it seemed surprising to others. As the compliments kept going, he couldn’t help but blush once again. The young man was being too straight forward once more so Moonie was convinced he’d just end up looking like a tomato during the entirety of their conversation. “Mr. Kelly… that’s a good one, I suppose that’s your last name”, he laughed a little. This guy was flirting with him and Moonie had to admit he was enjoying the attention, he was pretty good at it. “My name is actually Daejung but everyone calls me Moonie… it’s nice to meet you”, he offered him a smile. “What about you? I only have your last name so far after you wished that was mine too someday, but what about your name?”

“Like.. that! Have you never seen a mirror? A reflective surface? Even a blurry picture would have people going weak at the knees.” He tapped his fingers against the table before tilting his head. “I’d love to draw you sometime. Not now because rushing it wouldn’t do you any justice and I don’t think you’d want to sit out here for at least an hour. You should let me though, you’d be a great model. A great actual model too. I’d take either, honestly.” He giggled quietly at the question before reaching in his jacket for a white business card, his name in pink written on one side and he handed it over. “You’re Moonie? Fuck. I’m the future Mrs. Moonie, obviously. My business cards say Brandon Kelly though. My friends call me B or Queen B. You, however, can call me anytime.”

andy: anyways he shoved a benjamin in my hand to keep me quiet LOL

B: OMG. What a hoe.

B: I wld have asked if it was me bt u said a girl so NOPE.

B: If its me next time, I'll give you 2 Benjamin's! Or a selfie.

the sound of his laugh resulted in her grin widening, shaking her head, “you really can’t. that’s precisely why i offered it. okay! well more for me though i don’t think it’s really fair if i’m the only one who’s smashed. do you drink? could i get you something? on me, of course. because i’m nothing short of a perfect gentleman.”

“Mhmm, you have me there. It isn’t fair and I absolutely do drink. I like wine and cocktails and shots.” He let out another giggle and fluttered his eyelashes at her. “A perfect gentleman, huh? Just out here to steal my whole heart huh? I’m sold.”

“Oh… my what?” Moonie’s cheeks immediately turned red as he went on. It was inevitable whenever someone complimented him, especially on his appearance. He had never really thought of himself that high, and this guy was being pretty straight forward about it so it got him nervous pretty fast. As expected. Was he flirting with him? “I mean, I-”, he trailed off, letting out a small chuckle at his reference. “You really think so? I’m just… I’m just some guy but… thank you”, he let out a shy smile. “Is that… is that why you called me for or what was the real original reason?”

“You’re blushing... Jesus, you really just go around looking like that and have absolutely no idea?” With his pencil case and sketchbook now forgotten on the table, Brandon leaned back in his chair slightly and gave Moonie another once over. “That’s just unfair to the rest of us mere mortals. No though, that’s not why I called you over but work or hot guy? I have my priorities in order. Can I have a name or should I keep calling you prince sexy the future Mr. Kelly on my inner monologue of how unfairly pretty you are?”

Arching one of her eyebrows when she heard someone call out to get her attention, she looked over her shoulder at him. “What?” she asked. Maybe she sounded too blunt but she had never been the best at hiding when she was either confused or annoyed. Crossing her arms over her chest, she turned to face the other so she could study him and so that they could talk better. It’s not easy to have a conversation while looking over the shoulder. 

He bit the tip of his tongue to keep himself from asking her to try saying that again in a nicer tone, instead offering his most polite smile. “I was wondering, hoping rather, that I could buy you a coffee or a tea or whatever in exchange for five minutes of your time to see if I can find a crayon that matches the shade of your shirt. Or at least as close as possible so I have a reference to go on. It’s too nice for me to not want to try and work on something with it.” 

Moonie wasn’t really a coffee person, but he had stayed up late last night doing some photo retouching for a project whose deadline was approaching. And today he had another shoot… not so early in the morning but still early enough for him to desperately need something to help him to not completely fall asleep in the middle of his task. As he was leaving Deja Brew, yawning before finally taking a sip of his coffee, he had to stop his walking as he heard someone suddenly calling him. “Who… me?”, he asked, still in a sleepy state. “Yeah, sure… what is it that you need?”, he questioned once more as he got closer to the young man’s table.

As soon as he heard the others voice, Brandon was digging around inside his bag for the pencil case that held all of his yellow crayons. He had no intention of wasting any of his morning whilst he was in such a good mood and didn’t intend to waste any of the other guys time either, at least until he made the mistake of actually looking at who he was talking to. “Besides your number? Holy shit, you’re gorgeous. Seriously, what the fuck? You’re like the living version of that meme where that badly drawn god is making someone and he just went to add a little bit of attractiveness and accidentally emptied the entire pot in with you.”

“Oh don’t worry he is in jail for worst stuff.” He said pressing his lips together and sighed. “I feel so bad for laughing, I mean so many people were like you when they heard the joke. It is kind of funny though. Isn’t it?”

“Worse than that joke? Really?” The expression on Brandon’s face showed his disbelief until he started shaking his head in response to the question. “Not even a little bit. I actually.. My dad once bought a giant plushy elephant that stayed in our foyer and whenever I tried to ask what it was for or more importantly, if it was a gift for me he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. It was there for almost a month before he stopped me leaving for school to tell me he was ready to finally talk about the elephant in the room and I immediately told my mom to get a divorce but she thinks he’s hilarious too. I think I’ve heard pretty much every possible awful joke that could be told because of that man and they are no longer funny.”

“Well, I’m glad you agreed to this - whatever we may end up doing - ‘cause I would have binged watched every episode available on Hulu. As for the pout, I figured it could help me with my case, but I’m glad you didn’t need any extra convincing. Now the next question is…what are we going to do?”

“Bleh! You can binge Hulu literally any other time. What do you like doing for fun that doesn’t involve the tv or staying in? Though if your ideal night consists of drunk monopoly then I won’t stand in your way. I’m being the top hat though!” He scrunched his nose up with a smile on his face, his phone already in his hand to scroll through what things were on in town. “You’re cute enough without the pout, don’t worry. It’s late enough that bars are open? Or are you a coffee and a movie kind of girl?”

                         “ crazy competitive. i’d make myself fit into the smallest places - i realized i could fit into most places no one would ever think to look. you know how long i’d been in that fridge before i came out on my own ? too long, my friend. too long. i’m not entirely sure i’m safe, but having a good time ? a l w a y s. ” noah’s amused when brandon is climbing into the fridge, “ ah, yeah, i bet that flexibility really comes in handy when you’re fitting into a fridge.. like you know, us n o r m a l people do. ” when brandon’s inside, noah’s using his foot to press up against the door & he’s cackling. he’d let him out, of course. just not right away. “ all you need is a blunt, my man - have yourself a nice little hot box in there. ”

“So basically you’re the hide and seek king? I feel like the first place I’d look for you would be the fridge, unless that was sneakily your plan all along. String me along with purposefully told secrets until it’s time to play and then you’re pulling a Matilda on me and hiding under the table whilst I’m freezing my ass off in the frozen section.” Brandon giggled once he was settled in, making sure his head wasn’t going to get hit with the door when it started to close. “Exactly like is normal people do.” He couldn’t help his snort when Noah spoke again, mavouvering to get his phone from his pocket and raising his voice so he would be heard. “I can’t afford to get the munchies but this is surprisingly more comfortable than I thought it would be. Hey! My dark fridge selfies are still pretty hot! Awesome.”

another nervous chuckle escaped from his lips, pretty sure his cheeks were the equivalent of tomato red at this point, “WELL i do get flustered around hot guys! they’re like my kryptonite so honestly…this is pretty fitting. i did basically say that i thought you were hot for! i mean i said you had a nice face.” when he realized how that sounded, he laughed again, “okay, okay. fair point. i’ll work on it. flirting is not always my strong suit.” hugo admitted, taking a step forward, “you uh…sure you’re cool with this?” tongue wet his lips, “because you can totally back out.”

“Kryptonite, huh? Well, Superman, if it makes you feel any better hot guys are practically my one weakness too.” Despite how amused he was with the whole situation, he wasn’t cruel enough to comment on the shade of red that the other had turned but he wasn’t kind enough to not tease him at least a little. “You did. A super fucking nice face. For future record, I’m at least 12 out of 10 at any given moment but I’ll let you off this time.” As Hugo stepped closer, Brandon straightened himself up in his seat and even turned towards him. “You’re nervous... That’s cute. You should probably make it a really good kiss if you want to win that dare.”
