layla takes kaveh's place as the genius architect who built the the palace of alcazarzaray, and dori is inexplicably the scribe, and neither of them appear to be well off financially. do they room together? doesn't say, but they clearly know each other and are friendly, and if they're both low on funds it would make sense for them to do so. and if they're casually talking like this, it would make sense if they were students at the same time, and maybe even did a senior project together. suddenly... dori/layla.......

after wandering around in small circles the dark for a while, the lantern lights up by itself and illuga sees it and is positive its hella haunted but also whats he gonna do? NOT use it? he's gotta hurry up and find flins. so he picks up the lantern and starts trying to make his way out.
