I see headcanons and it's Robin Richard as a bitey child (which I 100% agree with) but it's always Richard biting Hal, but what about him biting Bruce?
Hear me out!!! So in the middle of a meeting or something, one of the first times the JL meets Robin Richard, and he just looks over to Bruce, and they think he's going to ask for something, but the JL just watches in horror as this adorable little kid bites with all his might into batmans gauntlet, and Bruce is just trying to offer a snack or something else to bite on, but nothing seems to appease the child so he just has to continue with the meeting :D
The Bat-kids are no strangers to trauma. Each of them has been on the brink of death more than once, so they all take their injuries quite lightly.
The key word is “theirs.” They keep a particularly close eye on Dick. Their older brother has lost his quota of trust in taking care of himself after his second dehydration and countless hidden sprains.

hello, imagine there being a thing going on and for reasons the bat family needs a mob or something and they all look to Jason to handle that but Dick is like, "no, I can just call Tommy." I think that would be really funny.
You’ve actually hit on one of my biggest desires for a modern Nightwing/Batman-verse storyline EVER.
DC seems pretty desperate to have the bat bros collaborate these days, which I can understand because they’re quite popular. But somehow, in contriving half a dozen events just to give them an excuse to team up, they’ve completely NEGLECTED the fact that Dick has a public history with the mob and how that could be used with Bruce as an undercover alias or with Jason as part of his own investigations.
Like, you want batfam collaborations? It’s RIGHT THERE. And not only is it a perfectly believable way to make them team up, but it’s interesting too, because it opens up so many potential questions and conflicts.
Family thinks Dick is the golden boy? Have them learn through another mobster about the time Crutches beat nearly half a dozen mob guys to death in a parking lot, or sent a father to the ER in front of his kids.
Have Dick shirk off the bubbly persona and put on what he was during Crutches, and have the cognitive dissonance from that be felt throughout the arc. Have there be this constant anticipation for silly quips and smiles through comms, only for there to be nothing but silence and gravelly yes sir‘s. Because Dick wasn’t just an enforcer here — he behaved like one. And like a fucking depressed one at that, not out of putting on a show but because of how fucked up his life actually was at that time.
The Crutches persona couldn’t suddenly surface devoid of angst, so either you could take this one of two ways: Seriously, by having Dick drudge up the horrors of Blockbuster again to achieve that level of edge, or comedically, getting this hilarious series of him trying and failing to reach the heights of 19-year-old-Dick-angst like an emotional version of suburban dads getting stuck in their high school football jersey. I’d love to see either.

Okay, I have a little rant, and because I don't like to leave negative comments on people's works, I am putting it here. So ao3 has an amazing filtering system, it is truly beautiful and remarkable, but some people try to work around it and that bothers me. There are many things I could say about this, but the one I want to talk about right now, is the complete works filter, and how people circumvent it by saying "It's a series". No, it's not, if it is under 5000 words, and just abruptly ends, with zero resolution, that is a chapter, not a complete work, and you mislead me. You abuse that label, you got me hooked and this is fanfiction, so I have no guarantee that you will ever finish it. When you read an incomplete work, you know that going in, you make that choice and accept that it may never be finished. But when someone games the system, and posts an incomplete work, but labels it complete, they disrespect me and the entire, beautiful tagging/filtering system ao3 has. Just be honest, it's a wip, 1359 words with zero plot resolution does not a complete story make. Please and thank you, thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.
Please share if this annoys you too. I'm posting this here because I refuse to shame people directly on their works. As a fellow fanfiction writer, negative comments, no matter the context, can be devastating. At the end of the day the only reason I'm mad is because they started something amazing, and the last thing I want to do is discourage people from writing more, negative comments have been holding me back on some of my fics (well one of them) so as frustrated as I am, I won't put that on them, besides, it's not just one author I'm annoyed at, so many people do this. Either finish it, or be honest.
