- idk if this is specifically a Linux fuckup, but i’m counting it bc it happened on the command line: rm’ing all the .tex files for my undergrad thesis paper and not using git (thankfully i had a pdf copy from which the important content was saved). NEVER NOT USE A VCS!
- nope, and i’ve got too many old laptops lying around to have an excuse.
- used to dual boot, now i just have a win10 desktop and 4 (soon to be 5) linux laptops
- nope, just bash, though my second choice would be zsh
- no, git is my friend and i love her <3 after the incident mentioned in self[2], i developed greater fears
- without help from my parents, probably a dual-boot ubuntu partition on my desktop, followed by debian on my ThinkPad T460s (my daily driver at the time)
- yes, and i have become addicted to them :) though there will always be more to learn...
- i have spent many an hour playing vitetris when i should have been studying or note-taking! but if i could count a whole package, then bsdgames takes the cake
- probably just the time sink, an infinite sum of fractal inconveniences
- as much as i would love it, i don’t think the Year of the Linux Desktop is gonna happen
- i main debian on all my laptops, and my only peeve with it is the limited repositories. jealous of the AUR, but not enough to become an arch main
- both of them lezzing out Xenia, though Tux will always have a soft spot in my heart after years of Extreme Tux Racer and Tux of Math Command XD
- stock + config/aesthetic changes, respect for the art tho
- not yet. LFS was on my summer project list, but it looks like it’ll be a while until i get around to it
