Emergency treatment of high altitude fall accidents
After a high-altitude fall accident, the focus of the rescue is on the treatment of shock, fractures and bleeding.
1. The maxillofacial wounded should first keep the respiratory tract unobstructed, remove the denture, remove the displaced tissue fragments, blood clots, oral secretions, etc., and loosen the injured neck and chest buttons. If the tongue has fallen or the foreign body in the mouth cannot be removed, the 12-gauge needle can be used to puncture the ring membrane to maintain breathing, and the tracheotomy should be performed as soon as possible;
2. If the injured person is found in the spine, cover the wound with sterile gauze or cleaning cloth, and wrap it with a bandage or cloth. When transporting, put the injured person on the canvas stretcher or hard board to prevent the injured spine from shifting and breaking, resulting in paraplegia and death. Rescuing the injured person in the spine, it is strictly forbidden to carry only the shoulders and legs or shoulders of the injured person;
3. Found that the injured hand and foot fracture, do not blindly move the injured. The injured site should be temporarily fixed at the fracture site with a splint so that the broken end does not displace or stab muscles, nerves or blood vessels. Fixation method: based on the principle of fixing the upper and lower joints of the fracture, the material can be taken locally, using wooden boards, bamboo pieces, etc.;
4. The composite injury requires flat supine position, keep the airway unblocked, and untie the collar buckle;
5. Peripheral vascular injury, compression of the upper part of the injured artery to the bones. It is convenient to place a thick dressing directly on the wound, and the bandage is pressure-wrapped so as not to bleed and not affect the blood circulation of the limb. When the above method is invalid, the tourniquet can be used with caution. In principle, the use time should be shortened as much as possible. Generally, it should be no more than 1 hour, and the mark should be marked to indicate the time of the stop.
