”transandrophobia/anti-transmasculinity isn’t real” When i was younger one legitimate thing o had against transitioning (in the future) was that instead of being a women scientist, instead of being progressive and boundary breaking, i would just be a man. What would all the little girls think if i abandoned them, left the harshness of female hood to become a man instead, become not the idol they looked up too?
You know it’s bad when reddit of all places is better for your mental health on trans discourse then tumblr. On reddit I can occationally run into garden variety non acceptance — on tumblr, as a transmasc, well. I think it’s well known.
Shoutout to all the wonderful trans people out there <3. Shoutout to all the incredible transmasc and trans men and nonbinary people and ‘tme’s who are so hated for their existence. Shoutout to all of the lovely and wonderful transfem and trans women and nonbinary people who are so outspoken in their advocacy. Seeing trans people happy and fighting for community and to help eachother instead of pushing other community members down is always so heartening to see.
On one hand i know that socializing terms aren’t good and i know that every transgender person has a different story and yes, i know that oftentimes transgender people are often not even perceived as what they were born as and are instead perceived as a gender anomaly but i really do wish that there was a way to talk about “Hey, being perceived as something treated as such regardless of what that was actually are does affect you in the future” that was succinct

The thing that i dislike about the whole TMA/TME thing is that like — you really trust cis people to be able to tell what direction somebodies going in? You really trust cis people to only direct transphobia towards trans people? Are you sure about that??
