It's been a few weeks since CodyWan Week ended! Thank you very much to @codywanweek for organizing the event! It was so much fun participating for my second year in a row! For anybody looking for any of my fics, I've created a bit of a masterlist here for my CodyWan Week fics for both 2025 and 2024. Feel free to share or check any of them out!

In honor of CodyTine Weekend (@codytineweek ) on it's way up, here's a little snippet for day one: Manda'lor!

"Beskar," she says as she pulls a helmet from its velvet bag. The crown of it is a rich blue with a mosaic of dragonfly colors cascading down the sides. The eye shapes are typical of a male's kit instead of a woman's, but Cody doesn't ask the obvious question. "This was my mother's armor." Her throat bobs. Cody watches it carefully. "My mother inherited it from my grandfather who forged it in the heart of Mandalore himself." She sets the helmet down carefully, then reaches to unbox a set of gauntlets; the wrists of them are outfitted with an energy ballista and magazine of small heat sensing missiles.  Though the technology on the vambrace looks slightly outdated, Cody knows this is the armor of a warrior. Of a protector.  "You can't duel without beskar. Especially not on my behalf," Satine says her words slowly, almost as if she detests the fact that they're coming out of her mouth at all. "You will wear my mother's set into battle." "Duchess, I--" "You will." She takes a chestplate out of the velvet box, her piercing eyes studying the gorgeous blue and gold design that flutters down the front. "You have to. Nothing short of beskar itself will pierce it." Her next breath is measured. "The darksaber won't cut through it as smoothly as it would plastoid."
