It’s still soooooo so crazy to me that evry woman’s backstory on the pitt is like. I’m a single mother trying to remain sober. I lost my dad to Illness when I was young and now I’m purposefully invested in making sure people of color receive adequate care. I’m years younger than anyone here and am doing this because of family pressures of my parents who WORK UPSTAIRS and come find me to talk about their expectations and disappointments. I got the full tragic backstory package self harm suicide sexual abuse and I’m a lesbian and I’m really invested in any case where social services is involved. I’m autistic and my twin sister’s main caregiver and have been for longer than people would guess. and the guys backstories are like. I’m a traumatized workaholic. I’m a recovering addict. I grew up on a farm. which TO be clear I DONT mind yes #complex women yes #flat men but it’s crazyyyyyyyy. Who people are running with. Out of this lineup

if lorne hadn't fired all those actors and writers, bowen yang wouldn't have resigned, and instead of that atrociously written "heated wizardry" short, bowen would have gifted us an outrageously funny and trenchant LIVE skit criticizing the moral panic and sensationalism in response to HR, skewering the u.s. men's hockey team to death, maybe even a subtle nod to the parallel racism faced by shane/hudson/himself. and he 100% would have done it in full hockey gear, fluttering shane's bambi eyes, macking on connor as ilya, while dropping coy hints about being a bottom irl. so excuse me if i'm deep in mourning this saturday.
