OUT OF ORDER.

     “Everybody STAND BACK, I’ll take care of this guy!” Sonic put his hand back, shooing a reluctant looking Tails and Knuckles back while he stood down this newest model of Sonic robot. One that, if he was hearing Robotnik correctly, had just downloaded his life data? He wasn’t sure what that meant, but if it was anything like the true Metal Sonic, couldn’t be a good thing.

     “Alright impostor, lets see what you’ve got!” In a mere moment, the hedgehog had revved up his peel out and BLASTED towards the mech.

       i’ve got to destroy this imposter,  was the only thought that truly went off in his metallic brain. there were others, just underneath the surface, held down with firewall chains that he couldn’t even think of breaking, not knowing they were there.

       things like  why are tails & knuckles on his side ?  why was there no more room for resentment in his heart towards robotnik ?  & most importantly . . . 

       why was he doing this ?

       his legs wanted to start kicking into a peel, but there was an echoing  ROAR  of an engine instead as he darted towards what in his mind, was a fake, no - good version of himself,  smoke & steam billowing from the exhaust flames that spewed from his engine. he kept his focus, all concentration set on beating this fake into the cold, hard ground.

            “ i’m just  messin’,  ace !  you know i’d be the one throwin’ myself in your casket, bawlin’ my eyes out if you kicked the bucket. “  shard waved his hand, as if he was waving off the comment entirely.

“Huh-?” Knuckles looked confused. “Dude- how would you fit a canon in it? A cake canon… who are you, anyways?”

            “ i’m  SHARD.  but that’s not important !  what’s important is this dilemma i that have to solve. “

            “ by cannon i mean my arm. “  shard gestured to his left arm, which was more or less taken up by a cannon. he’d never really thought to call it anything else !
