Sailor Moon followed Usagi Tsukino, an ordinary fourteen-year-old – or so she thought – who discovered Luna, a talking cat that revealed Tsukino’s identity as Sailor Moon, a magical warrior destined to save Earth from evil. Luna tasked her with finding the Moon Princess, as well as protecting the planet from a series of antagonists. Before the start of the series, when the dark nemesis attacked the Moon Kingdom, the Moon Princess, her guardians, and her true love was sent into the future to be reborn. Together with the guardians — the intelligent Sailor Mercury, psychic Sailor Mars, tomboyish Sailor Jupiter, and cheerful Sailor Venus — she fought evil, periodically encountering the mysterious Tuxedo Mask, the Moon Princess’s true love.
