feet pounded against the stairs as winnie sprinted down them. there was a small squeak as she reached the bottom, her socked foot slipping on the edge of the last step. MAYBE she got a little ahead of herself. it happens!! she couldn’t manage to catch her footing in time and fell to the floor, letting out a huff of breath upon impact. ❝ i’m cool! ❞ the air blew away a stray lock of hair that was blocking her vision, revealing a familiar figure from across the kitchen counter. ❝ dad! ❞ she grinned, jumping up to rush over to him. ❝ you’re home! ❞

            chip after chip enters his mouth happily, uneventfully, until he hears her. the distinct footsteps of his daughter BOUNDING down the stairs have him grinning before he hears it. misstep and a thud ! as she smacks the floor. shoulders rise, hunching in as he flinches. how many times had he fallen off that last step himself ? brow rises as he watches her get up without incident and make her way towards him. LIKE FATHER, LIKE DAUGHTER. ❛  i feel like we should pad the floor right there, what do you think ?  ❜ there’s a smirk before another chip enters his mouth and he talks with it in his mouth. ❛  should i be somewhere else ?  ❜

the school’s corridor that was deemed empty the second the bell noisily chimed brought gwen to foolishly barrel into a fellow colleague . the senior’s blonde tresses had vermillion for its tips .
