Claiming that making April black is to be “more progressive”... not like it’s supposed to be more accurate to the comics or anything

Accusing the writers of never understanding TMNT despite many of them, including the show runner, working on the previous iteration

Acting like some long time TMNT fan despite watching the shows RECENTLY

Saying the way April talked was somehow stereotypical and ‘racist’, and also comparing her to Scrappy Doo since she apparently just runs into a fight and ‘gets trounced’. Never mind the only fights where she’s been defeated super easily have been against Draxum who is LITERALLY THE BIG BAD OF SEASON ONE and not even the mains can defeat him

Also despite him saying before how he never watched the previous incarnations of TMNT, he can somehow deduce that 2018!April is just “April in name only”. Because yeah, the 80s April NEVER got herself into danger on purpose for the sake of a cool news story and NEVER was snarky

Saying that the “bad animation” of the show (where it loops frames or skips frames, usually during comedic scenes) is just hiding under the excuse of ‘stylization.’ ...even though that’s literally what the show does, using the style of anime for both jokes and action scenes

In a previous video he complained that he couldn’t tell the turtles apart because they looked so similar in design... now he’s saying that they’re too different looking. Like... wtf do you want then?! 

Called the turtles weapons “futuristic” despite them clearly being mystic, and saying that it was insulting that they don’t use “ninja weapons” anymore. ...even though tonfa and kusari fundo ARE ninja weapons, and if he actually watched the damn show he’d know that the turtles still practice the art of ninjitsu, using ninja skills like blending into the shadows despite their bombastic new weapons, and only use their mystic powers when there’s a huge threat

Said that they made Splinter a typical bumbling dumbass dad... WHILE SHOWING CLIPS FROM “END GAME” THAT NOT ONLY SHOW SPLINTER BEING AWESOME AND SKILLED IN A FIGHT BUT ALSO HOW MUCH HE CARES ABOUT AND LOVES HIS SONS, WILLING TO SACRIFICE THE WORLD FOR THEM. Like, if he only watched the first few episodes why would you even take clips from the season finale that you OBVIOUSLY DIDN’T WATCH?! 

Also way to completely ignore the possibility of a character arc. You know, the thing you claim to love so much? Also you gotta love how he wished they’d kept Splinter as the “wise old master” instead of the “bumbling dumbass dad”. Sooo, trade one stereotype for the other basically? 

WATCH THE SHOW YOU COWARDS, I DARE YOU!!

no, but honestly.. give this show a chance. Nick’s been treating the show real bad for putting it on Nicktoons after the low rating they got (ye know, after how people just casually hating the show over a new different concept with different art style).

the show is honestly perfect and it’s a DAMN shame to ignore their existence. we all can see how the crew put care, love and tons of hard works onto the show by at least looking at it..

okay hear me this, i saw people questioning about ROTTMNT and i would love to talk about more of it further just so people start watching the show with us dorks. 

First off, “the characters are all the same” / “ they’re all acting like Mikey but worse” yeah no, they’re acting like a couple of teenagers. The boys never really got exposed to Ninja-ing stuff from Splinter, and thus the name RISE from. You’ll see them growing each episode, trust me. 

“Leo’s not a leader!” / “Why is Raph the leader and not Leo”

in this version, Raph is the Oldest while Leo is the second youngest. naturally, Raph has to lead his younger siblings like how older sib would do.

and honestly, it gives more of the new Dynamics into the whole group. Leo ain’t as depressing like he used to be in other incarnations and has his own moment to be a laid back teenager. BUT, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a leadership material ;)

“Why are their weapons changed?” it’s not like this is the first time they have a different weapons, you guys should really stop nitpicking over some little stuff.

“What’s with the new powerups?” Watch the first 2 episodes and you’ll got your answer

how about the voice acting. don’t even get start, the casting is amazing to begin with.  ( w/ Rob Paulsen as the voice director ) 

Omar Miller (Ballers) will play the oldest brother Raphael, Ben Schwartz (Parks & Recreation) is the self-professed ‘coolest’ brother Leonardo, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) portrays Donatello, an unflappable mechanical genius and tech wizard,  Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) is the youngest brother Michelangelo, an artist and awesome skateboarder, and Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) plays April O’Neil, a street savvy native New Yorker. Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) also joins the cast as Splinter, both father figure and sensei to the Turtles

“Splinter is ugly” let me just say this, don’t judge book by it’s cover. He actually have his own arc where we could understand more about him :D

“does the animation looks as great as the clips above?” Yes it is! the whole show is filled with S+ animation quality. even great, the animation looks even better and better each episode it’s INSANE.

and April? she’s damn amazing, period. She’s part of the action and really involves with the group as their big sister..

There you go! hopefully, i did great convincing you guys.

- it focuses on the brothers being brothers! Best friends and family! They’re all in this together!!!

- there’s no focus on Leo being angsty perfect or Raph being angry or both butting heads All The Time

-there’s no romance directed at or plot forced on the boys. They get to be teens and have fun together!

- Raph is a sweetheart. Donnie is a drama queen. Leo is a menace. Mikey is adorable.

- they’re all different species of turtles!! (still no tails though...)

- Splinter is a good (albeit silly) papa!

- April is amazing and kicks ass (without being OP)

- Draxum is John Cena

- the animation is beautiful and the colors are bright!

Can’t wait for more! Really hoping Casey shows up too at some point.

This show is beautiful and fun and has lots of heart. It really deserves lots of attention. Ngl, when the show was announced the art style really threw me and I just brushed it aside. But thanks to someone showing their love of it in my feed, I’m so glad I gave it a chance!
