The “no one has ever looked at me the way he looks at you” (thanks Donna) look. The “that way he looks at you” (via Curtis) look. 

He’s been waiting for this moment for a long time.

Like she’s looking around noticing: she’s in what she believes is Oliver’s old office, seeing mementos of him and their life all around (she’s dressed as she was the day they met - and so is he, like I said in this post - down to the fact that her hair is wrapped around her ponytail like she wore it in season 1 😭)

She’s making this face!!! AND HER HAND ON HER RING!!! 💗😭💗😭

Let’s all just take a moment to appreciate Oliver’s Face of Peace and Tranquility and Pure Happiness Also Known As The Face He Only Makes When Felicity Is In His Arms:

And, last but not least…the fact that the very last expression on his face is a smile of contentment.

The ending of 8x10 basically confirms that Oliver fell in love with Felicity at first sight.

Not like we often think of “love at first sight” like you immediately know you’re in love with the person, but “love at first sight” in that…in retrospect, you realize that you started loving them the moment you first saw them.

Oliver has 20 years to craft a perfect moment for him to finally see Felicity again - and we see the evidence of his fine attention to detail. But when does he choose? 

2x06, when he first realized he was probably in love with her?

No. What about 3x01, when he finally decides to go for it?

Noooo. How about 3x20, the first time she told him she loved him?

Nope. Also not 3x23, when he chose her:

And not beautifully idyllic Ivy Town either:

HE CHOOSES AN AMALGAMATION OF THE FIRST TIME HE EVER SAW HER (3x14 flashback) AND THE FIRST TIME HE EVER TALKS TO HER (1x03).

Isn’t this the most beautiful thing ever! Their love is ICONIC and BIGGER THAN THE UNIVERSE and Oliver, the broken man who thought himself never capable of love and have a family while being a hero, creates this entire little world for them with the most important memory of her 💚💚💚
